From a managerial/coaching perspective, the amount I learnt from Karel Fraeye.

When I say learnt, I mean doing the exact opposite of what he did during his trophy laden tenure with us.
  • That 20 minutes or so against Derby in that night match at home when we were totally unplayable and looked more like Real Madrid;

    And the beach balls...

96th minute winner against hull. Went mental!

I think the most enjoyable moment for me was looking along the row where I was standing in the Upper North and all you could see was balloons and beach balls ready to be deployed.
It felt like we were fighting back, it was only balloons and stuff, but it was sending out a message saying up yours, and we were enjoying being in the stands for once happy in the disruption it was causing.
Other than that, it felt pretty desperate a lot of the time tbh.
And the Liar banner was the most iconic image I think.

The sofa's demise. A metaphor for all of the 'important' non footballing things that the regime concerned itself with.

The thread where km was attending the sports conference where lifers were mobilised at short notice readily appeared out of nowhere to remind her of her incompetence.
  • Yann last season at The Valley, 2 goals & the disallowed chip, sticking the virtual 2 fingers up at the SMT #loveYannhateRoland
  • I quite enjoyed reading untold quantities of bollocks on "SE7 Valiants" earlier. I couldn't believe some of the nonsense before my eyes yet I couldn't bring myself to stop - dichotomy at its finest.

When the ancient Yann Kermorgant returned to The Valley, 3 years older and 20 Championship goals richer to show that soppy mare what a rick she made for a poxy £400k (undisclosed).

Scoring twice, but not celebrating - in deference to the club that rescued his career and fans that adored him.

    That Ahmed Kashi goal.

The entirety of the Boro match. Watching it on a stream. The brilliant protest. The brilliant second half performance. It really felt like we might stay up in spite of them. Makes me a bit sad now.

Guy Luzon doing his crouch for an extended 5 mins after that corner, trying to assess the situation. Was an extreme crouch moment.

The Liar banner was inspired and courageous by passionate individuals. Personally, I liked the baiting that provoked the "Shitty, shit" in the Business in Sport conference.

    I enjoyed that.

Few months later after nothing happens and goes a bit quiet it becomes quite apparent that this woman could get away with murder

Rolands late evening drunken rant blaming us for everything and causing newly appointed Baroni to run for the hills.
    Priceless!
  • I'm saving my favourite moment for the day he goes.

My 4 year old every so often randomly breaks out in to his watered down version of 'get out of our club, get out of our cluuuuub , you belgian doughnuts, get out of our club' or "we want roland out say we want roland out "
this is due to him watching the middlesbrough game game non stop every day for a good month on sky+ and every so often he still puts it back on , he liked all the beach ball action

Football-wise Johnnie Jackson getting that last minute header against QPR.

As regards the club I've felt hateful from the moment this circus found its way to SE7 and am heartbroken my fears were confirmed
  • Have to admit last night was probably up there for actual decent squad performances under this regime (Despite there not being many)
  • Staying up under Riga in 2013-2014 + the early results and improved finish under Luzon in 2014-15.

Last season? Obviously good moments scarce, but, the wins against Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday stand out for me. On our form in either (and a small selection of other games) I'd have backed us to make the play offs.
  • Seeing the sofa being ripped to pieces on the final day of last season, it reminded me of the Berlin Wall coming down.
