Well I wont disagree with that - I find all religious beliefs pretty ludicrous personally.cafcnick1992 said:
They deliberately make the animals suffer for no good reason, other than to pander to ludicrious religious beliefs. Totally unacceptable in 21st century Britain.Off_it said:
Ah, So they "butcher animals to death" for the sake of providing food then, not for the sake of religion.cafcdave123 said:
i think they run a halal butcher for their meat.Off_it said:
WTF?cafcnick1992 said:They butcher animals to death for the sake of religion, so they don't receive my custom, however tasty they are.
Have I missed a page of comments somewhere?
But the animals are butchered for the sake of food above all else. The manner in which they're butchered is clearly debatable.
Personally, I love a sausage!

From their website
Currently, we don’t offer a Halal range. We get requests for many specialist ranges such as gluten-free and Halal and the challenge for us at Greggs is that most of our shops are very small with limited display space so we try to offer food that will appeal to everyone. We are continuously looking at what our customers are asking for to offer the food you want from Greggs.1 -
Well that's my theory of what @cafcnick1992 was banging on about blown out the water, anyone else fancy a crack at it?2

They serve it but use multiple suppliers - some of which are and some of which aren't. Companies should not be so sympathetic towards this practice. If an animal is going to die for food, the very least we can do is give it a painless death.MrOneLung said:From their website
