I think they are the worse Charlton kits I have seen.
It's a shame they could not have given the fans a choice on the design of the new kit. They did in season 2000/2001. Four choices in the programme and the fans chose (in my opinion) a decent design (Redbus sponsor)0 -
A couple of the Ribero /Quaser shirts were dodgy!
It's not great, it's not the worse thing ever either0 -

Yeah the idea to let the supporters choose the kit is always the best idea, they're the ones who buy it and if nothing else it means that the majority can't moan that they don't like them.0 -
OUR supporters will still moan even if they chose the kit.

I would suggest that with the money that flies aroud these days the manufacturer has almost autonomy on what is designed as long as it is within certain guidelines therefore rendering supporters votes somewhat meaningless.0 -
Its all subjective really, what floats my boat wont float yours.
100 of us could walk into topman/topshop and be given £100 to spend, we would all come out with varying colours, designs and styles, thats human nature, doesn't make anyones opinions on the shirts right or wrong, because thats just what they are....opinions.0 -

initially i don't like either.
home shirt has too much white, makes it look like a leyton orient kit.
the home shorts look bigger than the shirt.
the away shirt looks like something a skateboarder would wear if it had a hood.
at least the badge is in the right place0 -
worst home kit in the 24 years I have been going away kit is ok, bad merchandising by the club of the sponsorship deal is only for a season why buy the top as the sponsors may change this time next year or will it reflect in the price of the top, can't see many people spending 40 quid on a top that may change next season0

The Ribero and Quaser kits were good by comparison - sorry to the labour a point, but at least they were virtually all red. The designs were alright, the problem was that they were made of really itchy material!
The 94/95 Quaser away kit had the red and black band round the middle and looked great. On the new away shirt, the black panels on the arms and sides spoil it. They don't coordinate with the band across the chest.
Let's hope the football is far better quality than the threads!!0 -

The Ribero and Quaser kits were good by comparison - sorry to the labour a point, but at least they were virtually all red. The designs were alright, the problem was that they were made of really itchy material!

True those ones were poor, but you're comparing against products from between 14-16 years ago.
As i said elsewhere, i think all the Joma kits we've had so far have been excellent, but these two really fall below those standards.0 -

Not digging at the club in any way but surely the easiest job in the world is working in Charltons commercial office, we say it year after year. I admit we have had some great kits in the past but this effort rivals the crap produced year after year in the club shop.0

Agreed. I forgot about the green / purple ones! They just made me think of wimbledon (tennis), not good! Maybe I just feel nostalgic about Ribero as their kit was worn back at The Valley!
The first home shirt Joma designed was really smart. It's sad to say but this one looks cheap and nasty, it might grow on me but first impressions are very bad!0 -
The one year bit makes sense. What if we do go up this coming season(no dont laugh) we should be able to out and get big bucks, so a good idea to only tie it in for 1 year i think.0

I actually prefer the Sevilla white kit to the one they have given us. I think both are far too busy for my taste.
Home kit drop the horizontal white bar and I might buy it. I liked the home shirts of the early part of this century (the vneck and the one that followed it)
Away kit, lose the black arms and make the chest stripes less in your face and I would but it.0 -
The kit is a standard Joma design, with the panels, which do can come in one colour!0
