Bug invasion... help?

Bit random but just wondering if anyone knows what type of bug this is, i have found quite a few of them in home over recent weeks but they seem to stay in one place and die. Not sure what it is but we keep getting bites during the night.

Theyre tiny? Maybe like and inch in length but skinny. My sons been bitten loads and i didnt know if it was that or not?0

No doubt it's got some long-ass latin name that makes sense to no one.
However, if you find out then let us know; they're peculiar looking little feckers. Can't say I've ever seen one before.0 -
Agree with Big Rob, Mayfly. There are dozens of species in the UK several of which look alike. I don't think you'd be able to get a more accurate identification until it reaches it's adult stage.
No worries with it though, it won't bit or sting.0 -

Most of those are three-tailed mayflies, the one above is a two-tail (sounds like league of gentlemen).0
