Name the players
I can spot @Norman_Smith third from left front row and the manager is Alec Macfarlane but who are the other players from what we think is the 1928/29 squad.
This is a scan of the original photo donated to the musuem by long term fan John James.
Photo taken behind the back of the old main stand.

Another question.
I presume that the players are wearing alternate home and away kits.
I'll stick my neck out and say the home kit is red and white but what are the away colours?0 -
I was going to ask why the different kits.
Home and Away has a team photo of the 1928/29 Div 3 (S) Champions.

@SE7toSG3 you'll like the link @stonemuse found. Sad story but what a fantastic addition to our knowledge of the player.0 -
would need more time, but front row on left in your pic is definitely Jack Horton, far right front row in 1926/27 pic0
-
Managed to find a few matches. It seems the red shirts are the first teamers as they are in the other pics and a 1929 cartoon so assume the others are the reserves.0
-
Well, the first standing row, third in from the left is a dead ringer for Simon Church!8

They look like grey to me.Henry Irving said:Another question.

Henry there are some websites /apps that can add colour to your photos - not sure how good they are, Lunapic is one...

Think back row, 4th from the right is Wilson Lennox. Will check when I get home this evening.0
-
3rd from left in the second row from front looks to be Norman Smith or possibly J Davies.0
-
See the two at the front are sitting on the 1928/29 version of the sofa.

I think a young Robbie Fowlers sitting on the ground, and that may be Lurch from the Addams family top right. Is that a young, and fit, Johnnie Jackson with working knees second row up third in.1
-
Bloke top row and two in from the left, surely the head is photoshopped in?0

He hadn't signed by then.cafcdave123 said:Middle row far right Sam Bartram
I think that might be Alex Wright whose early death lead to the club signing Bartram0 -
