    I like to think that Slade starts of really calm when he picks his team. Sticks the keeper in, names the full backs, gets a bit saucy with a youth centre half and then settles down with a couple of defensive midfielders, then breaks out in a cold sweat when he has to pick attackers. I can imagine him sitting at home talking to himself. 'Two wingers Russell? You've gone mad. Quick, how many defensive midfielders have we got? All of them? That'll have to do'. 'Lookman, Magennis and Novak? That's not how Mrs Slade raised you Russell. Behave.'
