Why not play Phillips in the U23s

Not just Phillips but whoever is sub goalie as they don't match experience, except for minor cup games. Maybe not every U23 game but every now and then surely makes sense, doesn't it?

    I suspect because 1) it's not worth the potential injury risk and 2) fixtures clash with senior training, and I imagine they'll want him to continue training with the seniors.

    I'm not entirely convinced that, for a goalkeeper at least, playing with the reserves is drastically better preparation than training.
