Legend, RIP. Not to everyone's taste but my Grandfather who served in Burma & India said that they got the characters spot on in It Ain't Half Hot Mum. Got flak for casting Michael Bates as an Indian but the fact was he was brought up in India and was the only actor available who spoke the lingo.
