In fact he actually says that Riga played them. No wonder he gets on so well with Meire.cafcnick1992 said:Doesn't take into account that Riga used the same players as Powell and ditched the shite network players.

The network scouts probably did know more.about those players to be fair. Why would Powell need to knkw about those useless tossers he would never want or need13
-
HAven't been able to watch the video but thanks to @Weegie Addick now do not need to. Good to see the protests continuing to get coverage on national TV in Belgium.
And, true to form, he sounds like a prick.10 -
He really doesn't understand the wide resentment that has built against him. Daisy is very disingenuous in the interpretation she is sending over in order to maintain her underserved role.5
-
"We had of course thoroughly investigated everything with our scouts beforehand, screened all the players one by one, what they were good at it, what they were not good at, the kind of mistakes they made etc. Our scouts knew them much better, I think, than the coach who was there."
How anyone can defend the regime after reading this is beyond me. So a manager took a side up with over 100 points and RD thinks some stupid kid sat in front of a laptop knew the group of players better. Beyond ridiculous.59 -
I think that's exactly right. The next course of action should be to reinforce the message that it's more than just a few activists. Mass protest in Belgium? I'm in.stonemuse said:He really doesn't understand the wide resentment that has built against him. Thanks, @Weegie Addick . For a supposedly clever man, he doesn't half talk some bollocks.14
-
I think this would be great if we could get a mass of fans over to there, I would be inOff_it said:

Come to think of it, is Duchatelet related to Andy Nelson?

i think CARD should attempt an interview with the same bloke to give our point of view.30
-
Arrogant old c**t. He is a shitstain on the proud name of Charlton Athletic and will always be remembered as such.43
-
He may be an oddball but he is not that stupid, surely. He knows thousands have participated in every march, he knows thousands have participated in the match protests. If he is too belligerent and happy to take Meire's version, I'm sure his son, his wife, his other advisors etc would be taking an interest.stonemuse said:He really doesn't understand the wide resentment that has built against him. It suits their agenda to say it's down to a few stupid people being upset that he sacked a stupid manager.
And people keep giving them their money

He says he's done the calculations. Does that mean selling Lookman and then selling the club at a reduced price.
Because I would take that.4 -
I have tweeted the Belgian TV company asking for a right to reply - I could even have a go in my rusty Dutch...would still make more sense than that man...The_President said:i think CARD should attempt an interview with the same bloke to give our point of view.

If the guy sells up in January, it would be the best Charlton Christmas present i'll ever get.11

He believes her story ... a minority of 'activists' who others follow like sheep, but will stop once we again achieve 1.5 points average per game.AFKABartram said:

I don't think he does realise the extent of our concerns.1 -
Roland Duchatelet you are a Grade A %$&% !6

What a nasty piece of work he is. His arrogance is typical of many who have money - they look down on good, decent people and treat them with disdain. What a scumbag.7
-
-
Hmmmm, I think he probably does realise the extent of our concerns.
He has had 20-30 cards a day dropping through his letterbox fro the last two weeks posted in Belgium with the messages to Roland in them, its unlikely he will have thrown them all away without reading them.
Its clear from those that there are a very wide group of fans who have real concerns.
I think he is just blagging with this 'minority of activists' schtick8 -
PR department just had Christmas cancelled, welcome to Roland's and Daisy's CAFC!6

Village Idiots....?The_President said:I get the feeling that "Domme Mensen" is going to come back to haunt him !
Dammit @Weegie Addick beat me to it....1 -
As ever, even when CARD (of which I'm not a member or spokesman) are taking a protest breather over Christmas the regime does their job for them.
More nonsense, insults and lies all of which just fuel the flames and keep the dissent alive.
Thanks M. Duchatelet, happy Christmas.25 -
20-30 a day totalling a few hundred will still represent a minority in his and her opinion.Alwaysneil said:Hmmmm, I think he probably does realise the extent of our concerns.

Another example of their cognitive dissonance.1 -
That interview shows that Duchatelet is still interfering.
Duchatelet will sell Lookman, Konsa, Fox & anyone else he can get money for. He will then offload the club & claim back as much as he can. It's what he did at Liege. Cashed in & sold up.BigRedEvil said:He says he's done the calculations. Does that mean selling Lookman and then selling the club at a reduced price.

It would be the best Christmas & New Year present.2 -
Thanks for the translation @Weegie Addick.8

So the STTV manager was conceeding 2 goals per game...
Roland emails him and says, try to conceed less goals
The manager says... never thought of that! I'll give it a go
Welcome to Roland's world - you couldn't make it up!71
