No, he's in the squad of coaches.

Soon we'll be able to put out a full team of them.

I think it is a good move giving JJ the chance to coach the team. He is a possible future Charlton manager!
  • Has this been confirmed anywhere?

Apparently Jacko was named in the Southend programme as "player/coach".

He said in his column on Saturday that KR had asked him to be on the touchline in the last few games, with a view to him learning the ropes.

Jacko is our coach - well he's been carrying the team for a few years now

KR said he wanted to someone on the coaching team with many years of experience as an attacking central midfield player, hard-hitting tackler and inspiration for younger players. So he hired Lee Bowyer.

His best days as a coach have gone (saying this now so I'll be proven right in possibly 30-40 years time).

I don't know about hiring him, Chizz.

Bowyer was asked to come in just for the day.

What's the coaching equivalent of "legs have gone"?

People will be saying Jacko is too slow to be a coach.

He's on a 3 month probationary period under the tutelage of Thomas Driesen.

    A slow-coach, in fact.

    His tactics are outdated.

Tiki-taka-masala is the new method which should be implemented at Charlton Athletic Red Bull Football Club.
