Probably joining dots where no dots exist but this article mentions Everton have lost interest in signing a guy from SL for 2 reasons, one being Koeman doesn't think he would be an "improvement", the other reason given is that Everton don't fancy the associated financial complications of signing him.
Like I said, probably too many dots but it makes you wonder????

    That is interesting. I will ask our Socios contacts if they can shed any light on those "complications".

    I think this is the issue. One theory (but no one is sure) is that he is owed money by Venanzi, because the latter didn't have the money to meet RD's asking price.

    If they only got him in the summer, and still have a shout at the title, thanks to the play off system, it does seem a slightly odd decision to sell him (odd, unless you have RD lurking somewhere).
