Bad decision that, off Colly's pad, but no edge...

[cite]Posted By: Soccer is for poofs[/cite]oh well, at least we are not losing to New Zealand again

We've only lost one of the last six Tests against NZ - and won four of the other five.

    422-5 at lunch
  • Freddy back then after another poor show with bat from Colly?

I can understand why people moan about test cricket. but sitting back with a cold beer watching KP and Bell smack them around all day is pure class. there again, there is always baseball....

Yeah but as mentioned above Colly was given out caught but never hit it. Very unlucky.

472-6 Bell 150 N.O Broad still with him.

Hopefully not the kiss of death this time.

broad can carry his bat as well

left and right hand partnership will make the bowlers work hard as well

Draw written all over it unless we declare now & get them in & out quickly.

Aye - I reckon if Vaughan has any nuts he'll send them out for half an hour after tea and tell 'em to have a slog, then, if they're still there after half an hour, bring them in and get the Saffers in for an hour before close - get Siders and Broad into them and give them something to think about overnight. If we bat until the end, I reckon it'll be a draw cos its bound to p*** down over the weekend at some point

I think there should be something done about games finishing in a draw - its ridiculous that a game played over 5 days can end in a draw.

    And I like Test cricket!

    What do you suggest?

I don't know BFR, its really really difficult and i understand the purists would want it no other way.

But even if it rains and no play happens for a couple of days it can be a draw, it seems ridiculous.

There was always the Hansie Cronje approach - both teams forfeit an innings and have a last innings dash, or rather his bookmaker suggested it.

These days not that many Tests end in draws and invariably those that do are because a chunk of time has been lost to weather. Before the war traditionally the last Test of a series was Timeless to take into account the need to get a result.

Anyway there is nothing wrong in a hard fought draw.

Put Blatter in charge of the ICC - he'd sort it out

    .

As previously stated that's the whole point of test cricket. To bowl a team out twice in five days for less runs than you score.

That's the game ... leave it alone

Riscardo, a man with sense. Both captains at the start of the match know what is required to win, leave it alone.

Bell out for 199. How unlucky is that. England declared at 593 for 8.

I got out on 99 twice in one season a few years back. Absolute nightmare. Never got close to making a ton again :(

Bell got done over by the umpire's, a bit of drizzle and they all head off. everyone knew England would declare as soon as he hit the double ton, surely they could have waited a little bit. Feel so sorry for him, been one of England's best players over the last few years but still a great effort and England in a dominating position, just hope the weather holds and/or they don't bottle it

Aaaaand 96-4 now - McKenzie bowled by Monty.

To make things even better, the Saffer I work with is due back off holiday on Monday morning. just now in the process of making little cardboard cutouts of KP and festooning his desk with 'em :)
