Probably Century City then.Redmidland said:
@The_President I worked in the 'office area' cant remember the name of the road now, I was there setting up a contact centre for a UK based company working with, the then, new voice recognition technology. As for GDPR it could well me a money spinner, most companies so far have done little to make sure they are ready for it both in the UK and their subsidiaries worldwide.The_President said:
Good, i'll likely be there second half of next year - give me a shout when you're around.Redmidland said:
It will be next year @The_President. I worked in Cape Town in 2007-2009.The_President said:Red - is South Africa (Cape Town) on your schedule?
Where did you work in CT, and in what capacity?
'GDPR rules' sounds like a money-spinner - how do i get involved in it ??!!
I'll contact you when I know Im going.0 -
Good luck RM, safe travels and if we both happen to be in Russia at the same time, the beers are on me. The reaction on here doesn't surprise me, as how you manage to transform our verbal nonsense into written word at the speed you do is quite frankly beyond me.
It's been a pleasure, sort of working with you!!1 -
Red - an immense thank you for the years of updating. I've enjoyed the threads in a variety of manners:
- Live, when I'm not able to follow a game any other way;
- After a match I've been to, to gauge reactions and your own "real-time" experiences;
- In addition to the Player commentary/any other form of media (streaming, BBC London etc), as a dedicated, all-in-one "media centre" for all things Addicktive.
I suppose that as a very, very infrequent thread-doer myself, I appreciate just how much work you've put in - and you've earned the right to read a few rather than hammer away at a keyboard for three hours on the match thread every Saturday!
Enjoy. I'm happy to take up the mantle as necessary, alongside/in place of Seth, or whoever. (But not too many home games, as I go to some of those... and a few away ones too! - again, I'm essentially an injury prone match thread updater)2 -
Thanks @KillersBeard, without your and Greg's commentary and of course Pete Finch before you then I would not have been able to do the threads (it was almost impossible under 'Emma'!!). Long may you and Greg continue to provide commentary on CAFC Player. When I get a chance I may even 'tweet' where I'm listening and reading from, and of course what the weather is like. I'll be back in a few years and maybe pick up the occasional thread for old times sake.KillersBeard said:Good luck RM, safe travels and if we both happen to be in Russia at the same time, the beers are on me. @PaddyP17 thanks for the comments and thanks for stepping in over the last 6 years as well. Glad to hear you will be able to pick up the mantle when you're able. Im sure @seth plum will appreciate your assistance.
To everyone else who has commented on here, my grateful thanks for the lovely comments, it really is very humbling.
But from me on match threads and for now 'Au Revoir'.
Cheers

NB - Off to get some jabs today - had them 10 years ago and one in particular bloody hurts!!2 -
Information security protection sounds a bit 007!
Good luck Red, happy trip!1 -
@Redmidland
As someone who can't get to all the matches myself, many thanks for your numerous updates over the years.
Good Luck.1 -

That's a shame. I'm off to Cambodia for three nights and then back to Penang for eight nights before returning to sunny Westerham!Redmidland said:

Maybe next time mate......1 -
Hope it's not too late to get my best wishes to you, RM as you'll be sorely missed ( mind where they insert those jabs!)
You have been one of the constants on CL since I joined , with sensible, non confrontational posts that make mine sound like they're emanating from a bitter, twisted old crone ( too right if you listen to those on the Dark Side!)
Have a great time jetting around the globe and don't forget to pack that mankini .....
