I doubt many who have commented saw what happened and certainly no-one heard what was said.
From what I saw (from the Wimbledon side, where they were heading & closer than where our fans were) it was all handbags and Robinson reacted to something said. One 50 something tried to make his way past me to "ave it", but that's about it.
Telling thing for me was the groundsman acting like king of the world after & standing on his own on the pitch acting like the twat he was.
No issue with Robinson. He was a gobby scouse twat when he joined & still is. Won't have an issue with him for this, rather the fact we have again let a game slide in 90+ minutes.0 -
Are we mixing it though? That's two weeks in a row now we've binned off leads in injury time against weaker teams. We're 13th. I'm afraid I'll have to hold off on being impressed by the manager trying to clobber other teams' staff after we've failed to win yet again and we're languishing in this pub league. Karl Robinson was very Gobby when Manager of MK towards AFC
This is his row and has nowt to do with my football club who have enough issues to currently deal with.
If he he does not have the good manners to leave a pitch when managing our club about a row that does not involve us, please remove our club badge that you claim to represent and have whatever tear up you choose without involving us10 -
Really? When was that? Watched him walk on to the pitch. He clapped the fans. Some clapped back. Then he motioned to the players to come over and clap the fans. Never saw any fans talking to him. We were one minute from a serious celebration, let's not forget that. Sometimes shit happens. It just seems to be happening to us. But maybe things will change, but unfortunately we have a couple of tricky games up north coming up.

Surely let the facts transpire before condemning Robinson. If some tosser groundsman has said something out of order to him after he has seen the side drop 2 points in the last minutes for the second week on the trot after receiving abuse and pelters from the wank AFC muppets then his reaction is understandable.
People moaning about this marking a low point in the club's history yet a sticky at the top of the page all week celebrating Flanagan and Hales!
Jumping on our own players and managers backs every other week is not going to instil a fortress mentality and is only going to deteriorate the club further.
Bet when the facts come out he'll be justified in his reaction.19 -

Whatever any of us or AFC fans think or KR, it was well out of order.
There was also a large crowd waiting for our team coach to depart and KR got a lot more abuse and covered in beer, allegedly.
I'm not particularly a KR fan nor criticiser - just reporting.9 -
Really ? I have to disagree, of course I want us to win games, but trying to behave moderately professionally in between times would be nice too. I can't imagine Curbishley/Powell swinging for groundsmen, that's the caliber of shoes that Robinson now fills.Henry Irving said:Damn.

For 10-15 mins at the end, the AFCW fans were allowed to hold up a banner calling KR a c***. The groundsman then clearly says something derogatory. I do not expect him to be an angel after that, and I would not expect many on here not to react either if in the same position.5

My experience of AFC covers their time in non-league. They claim to have been the saviours of non league with their big following , but they treated other non league clubs with arrogance and condescending. Far from being the saviours they were obnoxious and unwelcome, their deliverance from our division (Ryman 1 South I think) was a relief.PragueAddick said:

Overall, AFC fans* come over as if the rest of us owe them, as far as I am concerned we don't. They were not queueing up to watch their team before it upped sticks to MK and whilst it's not a move I condone they were contributory to their own fate.
*Like any fan Base I am sure there is a wide spectrum of fans with different attitudes, I only seem to have come across the "bleeding hearts."8 -
Robinson should get a written warning from the club.
He should be warned that if he punches someone, they stay punched.

I think Robinson is a decent manager, who if allowed to build his own squad will probably do alright. I also think that he acts a confrontational and stroppy, which some perceive as passion and others see as arrogance etc. If a club enployee has abused him with a comment along the extreme lines suggested above, I hope AFC Wimbledon deal with said employee appropriately. However, at the same time, I expect the manager of Charlton Atheltic to respond with maturity or simply don't respond at all, because having a posse of stewards and his own players have to pull him away from a fight is not what I, and I'm sure many others, want to be seeing. Just my thoughts.3

Quite like Robinson myself and don't fully get the strength of some of the view of others against him. It was obvious through reading over the years on here that he wasn't liked by a lot of people as MK Dons manager, so I think he has had a few steps to climb with some from the start.
I get that people want him to pipe down a bit and concentrate on the football more, and I get that what he does say can appear to be weighted in spin. But I also get that he goes about things with a bit of passion and a lot of people are buying into that.
He won't be the last manager / coach to get in a pitch side ruck. Sadly part of the job is having the maturity to walk away from this sort of thing when goaded but that's sometimes easier said than done, particularly when you've just thrown another potential victory away.
Key thing is making sure this sort of thing doesn't become regular behaviour.
By the sound of it, someone at Wimbledon should be losing their job today, if they haven't already39
