Any one know any more about this obviously well known group of fans, presumably from the Maybloom Working Men's Club in Abbey Wood

    From the 1947 cup semi- final v Newcastle.

    The Charlton side had food poisoning but won 4 - 0.

    Newcastle players were in dispute with their board over bonuses.

    Maybloom is the traditional term for the Hawthorn, so maybe some West Brom crew involved?

    Walked past the maybloom, this morning and saw the signs about the social club.

    Seen a post on Facebook saying bailiffs in this morning and club has closed.

    Been in there a couple of times when my fil & his brother were alive. Seems its demise has followed theirs.
