Any one know any more about this obviously well known group of fans, presumably from the Maybloom Working Men's Club in Abbey Wood

    From the 1947 cup semi- final v Newcastle.

    The Charlton side had food poisoning but won 4 - 0.

    Newcastle players were in dispute with their board over bonuses.

    Maybloom is the traditional term for the Hawthorn, so maybe some West Brom crew involved?

  • Walked past the maybloom, this morning and saw the signs about the social club.
  • Seen a post on Facebook saying bailiffs in this morning and club has closed.

    Been in there a couple of times when my fil & his brother were alive. Seems its demise has followed theirs.
