  • Yellow and blue army could make the protest a bit more exciting. Should we have some red and white smoke bombs to compliment their yellow and blue ones?

This has to be good news (the new group, not the smoke bombs).

Problem with that is the risk of blue ones being set off next to red ones, all you would need is a couple of people dressed in black and it'd look like the Croydon rent boys were out in force

It's also spreading like wild fire.
  • Bitter ex-employees no doubt.

Getting closer to home now Meire and Duchatelet.

    Slowly, slowly, catchy ratty.....

  • For those who are RD apologists, funny that the Sint Truiden fans have found the same problems with RD's ownership e.g. Loading the club with debt and not being interested in the football team being successful.

It's not just that neither club is successful but that there is no ambition for either to be successful.

Half and half Charlton/STTV scarf anyone?
  • That GrAS Facebook page should be printed & handed out to our supporters before the Bury match on Saturday.

Those pro regimers that bother to read it might begin to wonder whether our protests have some validity after all....

VOTV would be another vehicle for this , of course.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the second point - but I doubt there are more than 20 of them so hardly significant!

In all honesty, its great to see that they're stepping their game up, and we're all coming together out of a love for our clubs. United we stand.

    Brilliant post foresthillred.

How fans who really care about Charlton can choose Northampton over a subsidised Belgium trip is beyond me.
  • All disgruntled ex-employees obviously.
  • This bit from their Facebook page:

"We also request that Duchâtelet undertakes:
    • To make the football really competitive on the field
    • to express a healthy ambition for the club to pursue sporting successes
    • If Duchâtelet can not undertake here, we ask that he is actively looking for a suitable buyer for the club, which will give us the opportunity to grow and be successful."

I wonder where I've heard that before?

GrAS have posted about 4 March on STVV fans' forum (original followed by google translation)

Mars tegen het beleid, zaterdag 4 maart!
    Bericht gras 22 Feb 2017, 15:10
    UITNODIGING

March against the policies, Saturday, March 4th!

    INVITATION
To support our message to Duchâtelet we will meet Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at the Grote Markt of Sint-Truiden at 17:45. We will protest against the current construction NV STVV - NV Stayen and calls of sporting success again be a priority, and then in a march to draw Staaien where we will continue the protests before the game against Eupen.

We can hereby confirm that a large group of Charlton Athletic supporters will travel from London to protest it. As you may know, they have been protesting for more than a year against Duchâtelet in an attempt to convince him to sell the club.

Do you remember how proud we were to cheer for the Canaries? Do you remember "Hell Staaien"? Let us return fueling the familiar fire and enthusiasm of STVV and re-create a real STVV club.
