whatever spin is put on it he's either left because Pards has lost faith in him or a cost cutting exercise. Everyone has ambition but he's not gonna quit unless he has something else lined up. I assume the hold-up in announcing this is because of agreeing a settlement package. Oh well, good luck Mark in whatever you do next.

I suspect the mutual admiration society is a condition of the severance agreement.

In the financial black hole in which we find ourselves there was never going to be room for both Parky and Robbo and Parky is Pardew's man.

Sure its a tough call to put someone out of work, but football is a cutthroat business, what about all the other staff who've gone? Its what happens when things don't go to plan. I am pretty sure he'll get work easily.

Very nice bloke Mark Robson...a real gent...don't like to see anyone like that lose out but the world of pro football is a tough old place.
Who knows the real reasons.....Good luck to you Mark...now don't go and do something stupid like joining Palarse or The Spanners!

Why can't people take it at face value. Mark wants to progress into a more prominent position, at a time we're making cutbacks. That's football, that's life.

All the best in whatever you do next Mark.

Robbo was great remeber the free kick away at newcastle in the cup. think its a miracle he stayed as long as he did what with everything that has happend to us since he came back, good luck to him hope he makes it, will kins be promoted?
  • With Robbo leaving, maybe this will result in Kins being promoted and either Steve Brown or Chris Powell returning to the club as Reserve Team Manager???

Sounds like Robson walked oh well at least it wasnt another pay out that was the result of the very poor choice of coaching team after Curbishley went.

Good luck to Robbo, as the article points out a number of players have graduated from the academy and have benefitted from his involvement.

Shame to see him go. Nice bloke and wish him well where ever he ends up (other than Millwall or Palace).

[cite]Posted By: razil[/cite]Hope Kins stays and becomes next Manager myself.

From City Addicks it does not sound like Kins is considered Management material in the distant future - Powell more likley to retunr as Manager before Kins is considered

Sacked by Norwich as first team coach a few days ago, he has now been replaced by Fregie's former side kick, Mike Phelan.

Phelan was one of a succession of expert coaches who worked with Ferguson to keep Manchester United at the top .. Moyes made a major mistake in dismissing him and bringing in his own team from the start of his tenure at Old Trafford

I wonder how Robbo is Phelan about that.

On another note, he could pop up at Wigan with Mackay I reckon.
  • Phelan is a former Norwich captain as well
