I'd have loved to have joined you all in Belgium today, put off by a combination of an 800 quid return ticket, a bloody long journey and a definite bollocking from the missus!
Shame our shitty owners aren't Asian!10 -
To echo previous sentiments, each and every one of you that's traveled to Belgium is a hero. Thank you.
To RD: We were here before you, and will be long after you're gone.5 -
Good Luck to all of those out in Belgium, so sorry I am unable to be with them Hope they all stay safe, and show that Duchatelet what it means to be a Charlton supporter. Makes one proud to be an Addick1

Absolutely gutted not to be part of this. I nearly drunkenly booked a Eurostar ticket at 2am last night. Bloody good job I didn't I just noticed my passport expired last week!!!! Could have been awkward.
All those out there give the deranged madman hell.6 -
My heartfelt thanks to all who are making the journey and participating in the protest. I know you will make sure that RD has a real horrid day! Or maybe get him to see the light and do the right thing. We can but hope!3

The latest rain radar suggests a fair amount of dry weather this afternoon. Good luck.0

I'm on the overnight coach, we're into Belgium.
When booking I didnt know about the Hasselt drop off. Therefore I've booked accommodation on a cherry farm about 2 miles from Truiden, soon as I'm in town I'm gonna hire a bicycle and rush to the farm and back so I don't miss anything.0 -
Day coach on the motorway out of Dunkirk. Someone brought a DVD of Forrest Gump!1

With your dedication you could turn up in your birthday suit and no one would but an eyelid....well done you.el-pietro said:Flights sorted, train tickets sorted. Early start for me tomorrow. 5:50 am flight from Cork to Amsterdam, and then a train from Amsterdam to Brussels and then onto St. Truiden. I'll probably arrive a little after lunch giving me a little bit of time for a few beers and maybe a bit of a wander around the town before the protest. Hopefully I'll see some of you there.
As this is my first protest, any advice on whether fans usually wear colours at these events? I know there were protest shirts etc but as I don't have any of those t would wearing an old Charlton shirt from a better time be considered uncouth? I might have a black or white shirt from time gone past if that is considered preferable to red.2 -

Greatest match thread ever.
A large part of me is gutted I'm not there today. A small part of me knows it wasn't practical to be there but should have said 'fuck it, I'm going.' Too late now.
We have the greatest fans ever.
Each and everyone one of you in Belgium and in Northampton. Good luck and stay safe.

For those attending, Roland has brought some money and would like you to take £50m home each as a memento6

Presumably 'invested' at a very reasonable interest rate?Alwaysneil said:For those attending, Roland has brought some money and would like you to take £50m home each as a memento

Good luck and a huge thank you to everyone out in Belgium fighting for our club this afternoon.
I'm too young to remember our struggle to return to the Valley, but the story of a club whose fans would not give up is known throughout the football community, far beyond our little corner of London. I believe that the threat to our identity, our culture, and sadly our very survival is as real today as it was 33 years ago.
But i also believe that when we win, we will remember this day as a turning point. A day when, once again, we refused to be silenced. A day we will celebrate in the decades to come, just as we celebrate that day in Woolwich when we reclaimed our home. A day when we left Roland in no doubt that he bought the wrong club.
Keep the protests loud, proud and peaceful, and I, and thousands more, will always be immensely grateful to each and every one of you.
I will finish with a question for Katrien. How many people have crossed continents to save their favourite restaurant or cinema? You will never understand, and we will never be silenced.30 -
Sitting in a bar in Vietnam constantly hitting refresh on this thread. Good luck guys.2
