April 1st Announcement of new Supporters Council

Blimey, they seem to reckon it'll take 5 weeks just to count all many many votes...

Which month was it you inserted between march and April?

    February?

Thought it was interesting the new supporters council was due to be announced on April Fools day.

Election day tomorrow. So how we all going to vote?
  • So who are the candidates and who gets to vote? I understand that it all seems to have gone quiet, but I was never sure of what the process was going to be anyway.

And you believe "they" did ????

Well owing to the fact it was poorly communicated (quelle surprise) I guess not.

Well hopefully they'll be gone soon and we can start to get back to some level of normality.

Actually, it was due to be announced on 30 April (see opening post), which IS about 5 weeks from tomorrow's voting day.... Mind you, it should be 1 April!!!

The whole thing is a joke, has anyone emailed them to tell them that they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery

Now, now, fellow lifers. I'm sure the club have this all in hand. After all, look how insulted they were by the suggestion that they couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery.
Or perhaps they felt so insulted they decided to withdraw from anything fan-related??!

Wonder where the PR guru is? Has the Kat got his tongue?

Takes one to know one ;0)
  • It's really not for me to give advice when it comes to emailing club employees but I believe a certain Jack O'Sullivan is the man to contact on this issue.....

If you want an answer, or at least some kind of response, then he's the guy to email.

Can you imagine the candidates who would be allowed to stand ? It would be like something Putin would devise, Su Parkes with 99.5% of the vote.

More like Sue Parkes with 100.5% of the vote :-)

I've also heard Jack is pretty responsive and a reasonable bloke.

Haven't spoken to him myself but do know people who have.

When i did finally get through by email Jack responded with about 15 minutes. He said he would let me know later in the day what the procedure would be. I've got nothing so far.

I assume this is because nobody from SMT can make a decision/organise a piss up in a brewery.

I think poor old Jack is trying to word a reply that does not involve saying “this is precisely the sort of old tosh that comes from the SMT, they have no idea of who, how or where such a vote will take place, they said it anyway because they thought it sounded good, it won’t happen, best ignore”
