Change of ownership. Change of behaviour.

My boys and I will be back with season tickets. *If* the new owners brought a SCP type person back to helm the club then I can see the affinity and love for Saturdays down at The Valley returning almost immediately... if not I can see it may take a while for it to feel like "my" Charlton again, but given time I know it will.
Exciting to think that the Swindon game could be our leaving party for Pinocchio, the Rat and Shoulderless NoCahones.2 -
Good for you......you'll not be missed!CAFCspooney said:Will not be buying a ST as have found other things to do on a Saturday.

Would feel like a promotion party similar to those games against Wycombe/Hartlepool a few years back.LeaburnForEngland said:My boys and I will be back with season tickets. *If* the new owners brought a SCP type person back to helm the club then I can see the affinity and love for Saturdays down at The Valley returning almost immediately... if not I can see it may take a while for it to feel like "my" Charlton again, but given time I know it will.

The thing to remember is that if the Ozzies do take over, they are likely to want to place a Ozzie manager at the helm - thats why the fact that the Oz national manager (Popocoglou or something) could be the leading candidate for the job - it all depends if they want to listen to local people ITK or not.1

Pretty pointless thread really as this so-called takeover seems to be b******t from the Mail without any substance. I mean, after all, the club have denied that CAFC is up for sale0

Nah, I've started going to Palace instead.
Really enjoy wearing black and singing sister act songs.0 -
More recently I thought they said that the speculation was unhelpful but did not deny it was accurate.addick05 said:Pretty pointless thread really as this so-called takeover seems to be b******t from the Mail without any substance. I mean, after all, the club have denied that CAFC is up for sale

Maybe a single fan wouldn't be missed. But how many of the thousands of absent fans feel the same way as CAFCspooney? It isn't going to be an easy task to persuade fans to come back in numbers, and thousands of fans who have found something else to do on a Saturday or just got out of the habit of going WILL be missed. They are already missed. The club would rather see bums on seats, and if you ask fans, they'd prefer a packed out valley to a half empty one.SoundAsa£ said:

I can't see me ever going to every home game and at least half of the away games. Which I used to do season after season.WestCountryAddick said:

Unfortunately there is a life outside football. And it's not as if we're spoilt for choice in London.0 -
The club are also pissing away future generations of fans. My boy is 6 years old and wants to come to games but I'm ducking out of taking him because of the toxic atmosphere. I'm sure I'm not the only father who has chosen not to expose my son to a depressing situation.2

One of the names to be aware of regarding management, should there be an Ozzie invasion of SE7 ..............Graham Arnold.
Currently manager of run-away leaders FC Sydney in the A-League (only one loss all season), has playing and coaching experience in Europe, and clearly fits the Ozzie model that the consortium which to impart.
