    I saw him play several times with Soft Machine, memorably once they turned up and did a live gig on the beach at Nice .. terrific musician .. R I P

    One of the greatest guitarists. I'll never forget seeing him on the 1974 Soft Machine tour... Hazard Profile and The Man who Waved at Trains were just two f many memorable pieces. So glad I was alive at that time and able to see him perform. RIP Allan
