Will the Fanackapans be there ?

    Is the Pope Catholic ?

We have seats in the West Lower as per my birthday "present" from our club......so I'll be up close & personal with Katrien.

Like FF, I have my birthday "present" from the club, so our whole gang will be there.
The 'gang' is increasing ..... two more are on board.
  • I look forward to be referred to as a bovril swigging c*** again...

    I love this - what a slur!

343 miles and my first home match of the season count me in
  • with all due respect i dont class our issues the same as swindons, swindon have just been a poor side what has happened to us has been deliberately done by mismanagement and some prick playing football manager with our club. im sorry if those protesting upset the fans that want to enjoy there day out, but enough warning has been given that there will be protests, personally Dont see how you can call yourself a Charlton fan and support what hes doing to it, dont get me wrong i understand people buying season tickets it your choice but for 1 game be loud and make your voices heard, this really could be the final push/goodbye to Roland and his crew.

Haters going to hate, the main voices against the protests are people with a grudge against certain people and I for one liked the statement of facts in the last 'Voice of the Valley'.

I'll be there with Tommy (11) who clearly prefers the protest matches.

Hope this remains peaceful. but can't see it.

There will doubtlessly be some drinking on an empty head who will take it too far and try to get into the directors box again. Who will shout, swear and abuse all and sundry in that general direction. Who will refer to those not protesting as "scabs" again.

Tensions are likely to be high in any case because Swindon aren't likely to be in a good place and aren't happy with their owners either.

Really hope common sense prevails and people don't go too far. Roland won't be there. Potential investors might be.

I just want this poxy season to finish

Nobody tried to get in the Directors box when a demo happened there and most people were clapping the group and agreeing with them. Including many in the Directors box itself.
They did. They left a child in the Directors box crying his eyes out because of their behaviour too. I was branded a scab because I wasn't spitting bile at the owners too. I was there with my 3 year old son.

All i'm saying is I understand the protests will happen but hope people don't go over the top.

My statement still stands - prospective owners are more likely to be there than Roland
If people wanted to get in the Directors box they would have because there was literally no security and nobody expected it. I was one who went up there.

The group there stood in one place and chanted and I'm sure there were a few swear words but it was no way aggressive (or no more so than you get in the away end at games etc.). In fact, it was the stewards who came running out like rabbits in the headlights yanking people into the barriers and stuff which got people upset. The group moved out of the way and let people leave and apologised to many of those in the box. I did at least.

I agree though, people shouldn't go over the top.

For a bit of balance, the only people who went too far were those in the employ of the club.

Statement from club. "It has all been a terrbile mistake. Of course we don't know how to run a football club - that was never our intention. We have now identified our mistake and will be swapping CAFC for cafc. Apologies for the misunderstanding.

No, you'll have to ask the guy on the bench on the left. I believe he does.

If Swindon have a sniff of staying up assume they are likely to get more tickets in the upper and lower West like Bournemouth got 2 years ago?

Won't be there but hope the protests are more original than throwing stuff on the pitch, so 2016...

Police don't expect more than 1,200 Swindon even if it's possible for them to stay up.

Have removed a number of posts this morning. This thread is for discussing the protests planned for next Saturday and (hopefully) rally support. I don't know what's being said elsewhere and we've tried being consistent in saying that, so please respect that as we have absolutely zero interest getting caught up in forum spats. Ta

I just hope everyone behaves themselves and shows the public what true fans we are. I also hope no idiots bring flares into the ground as we can do without them and the people who bring them!

What's the betting Katrien doesn't turn up?

    Or leaves at half time.
    It's a midday kick-off, she wouldn't even have arrived by half-time!

I assume if the sale is announced before this match, the CARD protest would be called off. Or even better, turned into a celebration.
