Is that a Mexican Wave forming around South London ? No its the 'wave of celebration' on the imminent re-arrival of the most popular and successful competition since Pin the Tassel on the Nipple !
During the summer, we launched an extensive survey of our readership and the results showed a a staggering 97.6% of Charlton Lifers agreed that the weekly Predictions League brought increased joy and fulfillment to their lives. The fact half our members seem to be expecting at the moment can be no crazy co-incidence. One Lifer went as far as to state
'yeah, its alright spose. Discuss'
The difference this year is we will be chucking in a Charlton Shirt signed by the 2008/09 squad to the winner, as long as the Charlton's Communications Team don't get their grubby hands on it, and flog it on ebay.
So the rules are as follows:
You do not have to participate every week
You pick three games from the list below, and try and forecast the score.
You get 1 point if you get the correct result
You get 3 points if you predict the exact score
If you get all 3 exact scores, you're a legend. And we'll give you an extra 5 points.
So there you have it. To win it, you have to be in it, so give it a go from the start and sit back and watch your life be transformed, or simply admire Howitzer's skillful attempt to defend his title.
