Amazingly Notts didn't win when it looked certain they would. However Worc won and look like being challengers as well.2

Kiwi bowler Adam Milne joins after the Champions Trophy, a useful and necessary addition to the attack!2 -
Very rapid, great addition, still worried about our attack when Harris returns.0

Kent v Sussex at sunny Tunbridge.
Kent win toss and elect to bat.0 -
Damn. Good to toss to win.0
-
Or, maybe not. 0-1.2

Good job we've packed the batting with Weatherley coming in for a seamer making Stevens batting at 7. Good time for Denly to step up given that he hasn't reached 50 in his last dozen innings.0
-
Clearly we're having a good look at the track:
7-1 (and that includes a boundary) off 8 overs.1 -
What do you mean this is not a timeless match.....1

Hoping it will finish in my lifetime. We have raced to 11-1 off 11 with just 4 scoring shots from 66 balls!MrOneLung said:What do you mean this is not a timeless match.....
It's the sort of innings that you dare not leave your seat in case you miss another dot ball.0 -
will be a run out in a minute0
-
Kent playing for a draw already. Sussex are much feared.0
-
20-1 off 14, "one for the purists" as they say!
Is it a tough track to bat on, or good bowling? Impressive spell by Archer, 1-4 in 6 overs!0 -
Are Sussex twinned with Barbados and South Africa? Five of their players (and all four of their bowling attack to date) were born there!1
-
Is Matt Coles really going to bat at 11?0
-
Racing along now:
26-1 off 171 -
I'm surprised Philander isn't in their Champions Trophy squad. A bit like England they seem to have many of their senior bowlers only playing Test cricket nowAddick Addict said:Are Sussex twinned with Barbados and South Africa? 45-2 D B-D gone for 140

Potentially according to the situation. Treders is the match saver (and former opener), Harris is the night watchman and well Coles is Coles. You never quite know what's coming but his low scoring innings far outweigh his exceptional ones as evidenced by his sub 20 first class average, making him the worst batsman in the team - albeit an exceptional no. 11 anyway and with an unbeaten 56 last time out.LenGlover said:Is Matt Coles really going to bat at 11?

Could be worse - Surrey at the same score for 5 down!LenGlover said:45-2 D B-D gone for 14

It's just surprising to observe that we are strong enough to field a team with a man who has scored at least one first class hundred down to bat at 11!
Given the way things are going so far today though it's probably just as well!1 -
I imagine the pitch must be tricky, hence Kent playing the extra batsman0
-
68-3 Northeast out for 9 Denly 40*0
-
Is this why we don't play much at tunbridge?0
-
115-4 Weatherley out for 33 Denly 55* Stevens 0*0
-
What would Surrey do without Sangakkara?
Currently 69* out of 114-5 and heading for his 4th ton in consecutive innings - and what would be his 6th for them in 13 innings this season at an average of not far short of 100.
Still KP will prove much the better "purchase"!1 -
184-5 Stevens out for 44. Denly 70* Gidman 4*0
-
Stevens got 44 from 44 making a mockery of the slow scoring of everyone else0
