I'm so looking forward to tomorrows game I'm thinking Jonjo to score first goal 25 yard free kick and we win 3-1. Gonna have a few quid on it so if it happens get in the pub after.... On that subject can anyone recommend a good place to drink. Walked past a couple last week the liberal and the conservative but had the kids with me. Just the missus tomorrow so having a beer. Are they member places ??? Thanks for any help

If the weather is nice i'd recommend the anchor mate - bit of a trek but well worth it.

I'll be mister miserable tomorrow up until 8.45am when we do Swansea 3-1.....

Give JonJo our best from this site before tomorrow

  • For pubs look at the "Everything you need to know about the sites and sounds around the Valley" link on the left.

Personally I preferred to drink in Charlton village where there are a few pubs, but it depends on which direction you are coming from.

Getting out at charlton stn went to the village last week to get something to eat its top of the hill aint it. Thanks for the tip on the link
  • As for the result - I think it'll be tough, Swansea are newly promoted and should have a good following, we've sold a few players and will have if Racon partners Shelvey a very inexperienced midfield, even if they both look good players.

Yep, go past the gropund, first right, trek up the hill. Around ten minutes plus walk or so, the pubs up there rarely have away fans and around 3,500 Swansea fans are expected to make the trip, so those around the station might get a little busy.

A tough game. We'll go behind early on and get one back to make it 1-1 middle of the second half. Fleetwood will come on late in the game and get a hard fought winner 2 minutes from time. 2-1 .... here's hoping.

I'm definitely positive for the season, but I can't see us winning this one, think they will be right up for it and with a sell-out in their end and years in the lower divisions their fans will be going mental. Think we'll take a few weeks to get going. Draw would be decent for us unfortunately.

I think we will win. We now have young players who will be playing with a lot of passion and skill. We have sold a few but we all wanted at lest 3 or 4 of them out anyway. Well I did.

I think we'll rise to the occasion with Racon, Thomas, Shelvey and Varney all playing a prominent part

1-0 win early goal from Varney
  • We will struggle to win this one. Like Covered End, I am hoping for a draw at best but fully expect our young, inexperienced team to get beaten. Come on lads, prove me wrong!

    5-0 to Addicks.

Uncle i would normally recommend the Royal Oak on Charlton Lane but not so sure these days. Used to be the best pub to drink in by far.

The Anchor after the game, barbie starts at 7. Bring your nephew :-)
