    Just had a text from a Millwall relation of mine. Says he's heard Marshall on way to them. We enquired but Millwall were ahead of the game.

    Clarke is a bit like Reeves, except he's older, can't shoot and doesn't score many goals.

    Let's hope we've not got him instead of Reeves. Quite likely though.

    That's like compairing chalk and cheese. Totally different type of players and also positional wise as well
    They may be very different players but both are number 10's and not out and out strikers

    According to Wiki

    Billy Clarke has 66 goalks in 302 games (goal every 4.57 games)
    at the same age Yann had 58 goals in 250 (4.31 games)

    I'm not getting overly excited by Clarke but he was a regular in a team light years ahead of us last term. Let's see him before we condemn.

    Maybe Paul Hayes would be a better comparison.

    Personally think Clarke is an instead of Reeves signing.

    Also wouldn't be surprised if they are rushing the deal through so they can try and bury the Holmes leaving news under Clarke arriving.

    On paper Clarke looks pretty crap. Will give him a chance but not expecting anything special.

    Marshall will go to Millwall.

    Sorry CE don't agree with you at all, Reeves is quality, only seen Clarke a couple of times and he looks useful but nowhere near the cultured player that is Reeves.

    If Kr insists on his 4231, a trio of Holmes, Clarke and, if we get him back, Mavididi, seems solid enough for league one. Two players in the prime of their career, one pacy up and coming youth player, with Magennis as well that's a decent attack. JFC began to look decent last backend and Konsa/Crofts/Aribo are all capable. If you get another CM in, a quality GK and some backups in the AM strata/ striker area then that begins to look solid for this level. What's more likely is that Holmes goes, we 'don't get a few deals' over the line and we are still scrabbling around on deadline day for loans and kids. I really don't think this side is too far away, but at the same time I don't believe the necessary areas will be rectified. Hope I'm wrong.
