As he was a regular at Bradford, I can't see him coming here to be a benchwarmerForeverAddickted said:Might not even be a starter... Could be one of those experienced options to come off the bench.
Reason I say is if he's supposed to be a No.10 where does that leave us in our pursuit of Ben Reeves?1 -
Average league one player, hoping he can do well for us though.1

Same shit different season!

So far nothing inspiring me to renew our season tickets.0

Just had a text from a Millwall relation of mine. Says he's heard Marshall on way to them. We enquired but Millwall were ahead of the game.0

To be expected, gets his London move and plays in the league above.ShootersHillGuru said:Just had a text from a Millwall relation of mine. Says he's heard Marshall on way to them. We enquired but Millwall were ahead of the game.

They could sign Messi and even that wouldn't convince me to get a STHartleypete said:So far nothing inspiring me to renew our season tickets.

Is Roland still the owner? Yes? No renewal.Hartleypete said:So far nothing inspiring me to renew our season tickets.

Clarke is a bit like Reeves, except he's older, can't shoot and doesn't score many goals.
Let's hope we've not got him instead of Reeves. Quite likely though.2 -
Heard a rumour that Churchy is on his way back - bring back Spongefoot!1

They may be very different players but both are number 10's and not out and out strikersshirty5 said:
That's like compairing chalk and cheese. Totally different type of players and also positional wise as wellSwisdom said:Serious question but could anybody compare the stats between Clarke and Yan when he was 30?
According to Wiki
Billy Clarke has 66 goalks in 302 games (goal every 4.57 games)
at the same age Yann had 58 goals in 250 (4.31 games)

Altogether now. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!0

I'm not getting overly excited by Clarke but he was a regular in a team light years ahead of us last term. Let's see him before we condemn.6

Happens every year...
- God our Friendly opponents are a bit shit and wont give us much of a challenge
- Why havent we signed anyone yet
- "X Player set to sign" ... Oh god not him!!5 -
Maybe Paul Hayes would be a better comparison.Swisdom said:

Personally think Clarke is an instead of Reeves signing.
Also wouldn't be surprised if they are rushing the deal through so they can try and bury the Holmes leaving news under Clarke arriving.
On paper Clarke looks pretty crap. Will give him a chance but not expecting anything special.
Marshall will go to Millwall.7 -
Sorry CE don't agree with you at all, Reeves is quality, only seen Clarke a couple of times and he looks useful but nowhere near the cultured player that is Reeves.Covered End said:Clarke is a bit like Reeves, except he's older, can't shoot and doesn't score many goals.

Did Clarke play when Bradford beat Chelsea in the cup?0

Erm, think that was what Covered End was saying.8

Was it?2

Well seems both of you think Reeves better than Clarke so yes.3

If Kr insists on his 4231, a trio of Holmes, Clarke and, if we get him back, Mavididi, seems solid enough for league one. Two players in the prime of their career, one pacy up and coming youth player, with Magennis as well that's a decent attack. JFC began to look decent last backend and Konsa/Crofts/Aribo are all capable. If you get another CM in, a quality GK and some backups in the AM strata/ striker area then that begins to look solid for this level. What's more likely is that Holmes goes, we 'don't get a few deals' over the line and we are still scrabbling around on deadline day for loans and kids. I really don't think this side is too far away, but at the same time I don't believe the necessary areas will be rectified. Hope I'm wrong.6

So he was instrumental in gaining the shock win.ricky_otto said:

It's a start but I feel it will be one step forward, two back with our recruitment this summer
ie Clarke in, Holmes out2 -
