Dijsteel, Barnes and trailist Cameron Stewart have also travelled to Ireland which we assume makes up the 25 players said to be travelling.
although I would be logical to have taken another keeper.

Unsure on this one. On the face of it we have numbers but only really Magennis and Novak fit KR's system. I reckon KAG will be used more out wide in that system. So can only teally justify one squad place for Watt or Ajose if a different system is favoured.

I would say we're a bit light in central midfield but Lapslie, Dijksteel, and Charles-Cook (surely he'll get a chance this year) are, from what I can tell, all at that level where they're ready to provide cover for the first team. Could be a big year for at least two of them.1

Peering into my crystal ball, trying to guess the final squad and guessing that Roly will not be spending any cash as he has now lumbered his favourite STVV team with our expensive misfits Tex, Vetokele and probably Ceballos.
So today we have a first team squad of about 24 - I have included talented kids Barnes, Dijksteel, Lapslie, but omitted Ceballos who is rumoured to be on his way to Belgium. (Also omitted Hanlon and Umerah who may be loaned out again?) Just one goalie... I am guessing that Konsa will be sold before the end of August and that Sarr will also be farmed out somewhere so that would reduce the squad to 22.
Incoming:
Expect a free transfer goalie + I hope we get the Chelsea kid on a year long loan (he will not be cheap); Do we really need Reeves?
Would a first team squad of 24 be enough? I don't know, probably depends on injuries and form.
Personally think Novak/Mag/Twatt/KAG are a bit naff at goalscoring but that might partly be the fault of our midfield being unproductive.
To do well we need Novak and KAG to score goals, Solly and Kashi to stay fit, Ricky to dazzle and for either Fosu/Clarke/Aribo to be brilliant.0 -
