    Despite all the problems last season, we finished with 60 points. I'd expect us to improve by more than 3.5 to 5.5 points this season. I'd say 70 points was a more likely base point

    I don't really understand how spread betting works and am too lazy to Google it. Can someone explain how much you could hypothetically win/lose?

    I has a friend a few years back who lost big time on spread betting.

    And we have the bonus this season of not having to play 2 of our usual 'no win' games against Millwall

    @PopIcon this is quite basic but just taking Charlton points as the example :

    Price is 63.5 - 65.5

    So if you think we'll get less than 63.5 ( i know we cant get 0.5 points it just how they price it ) , then you'd SELL at that price

    If you think we'll get more than 65.5 point then you BUY at that price

    How much you do depends on how much you want to risk , say you buy @ 65.5 for £10 a point and we finish on 70 points , then you'd win £45 .

    If we finished on 60 points then you'd lose £55 .

    So the more you put on per point , the more you can win or lose . You don't have an initial outlay and it can be risky and there's untold bets you can get carried away with
