Can't see what the fuss is all about. Meire is as highly qualified incompetent as any of the existing members. She ticks the gender box and her grasp of the modern game and what the customers want is unique.5

It would and should be. However she's not done it properly since she was given the position by her "uncle".charltonkeston said:I would have thought running Charlton would have been a full time job and some by its self, if done properly.
I'm also a little curious what the FA position involves. I cant see how you can do two jobs unless it involves 7 day working and an increase in daily hours. Then again she is top of the tree anything concerning football.2 -
Verily a unique decision by the FA
Integrity entirely absent from either party
Her tunnel vision ambition matched perfectly by their profound lack of any vision whatsoever
As appalling as it is unsurprising3 -
Nothing person for a nothing role.
Hitting a diversity agenda rather than choosing on merit.
They deserve each other. Incompetent arseholes.4 -
"As well as being entitled to nominate its representatives to the FA Board, the EFL also provides six members on the FA Council, with EFL clubs continuing to appoint two non-EFL Board members as in previous seasons.HarryLime said:Well Done Kat, Fantastic achievement getting re-elected without having to face a vote.
You are special.
Steve Curwood (Fleetwood Town) and Katrien Meire (Charlton Athletic) have been elected to the FA Council following a ballot amongst the EFL’s 72 clubs for 2017/18."

I doubt it involves any real work or time commitment- which is why the FA achieves little.charltonkeston said:I would have thought running Charlton would have been a full time job and some by its self, if done properly.

As an example, I was on the Executive Board of any industry group for 10 years. We'd meet 8 times a year. We'd review the finances, review the full time staffs plans for conferences and other meetings, and dole out potent projects to working groups. 4 full day meetings, and four 1 hour phone calls, and that was about it. But is does look nice on th CV.1 -
She has been nominated for it and voted in by the EFL. The FA have no say in the appointment.0

I think this topic title, should be changed to a "Would Ya"?
It's a yes from me, puts on tin hat and suit of armour.-1 -
Had completely forgotten she existed.2

The EFL - a fucking joke.
This is actually insulting. That someone can be publicly hated by their own fans for helping to destroy a club and to then be rewarded with a place at the top table for it.
Just fuck you.3
