Let's say we signed both Akinde and Godden, I'm not convinced either are an upgrade on Novak. I don't massively rate Novak but I think he has the potential to be very decent as second choice at this level.CroydonAddick1 said:Stevenage and Barnet have both signed strikers today.

Hope we sign godden, grigg or Taylor. No excuse for not getting a decent striker in if we have sold novak4
-
This is crazy, the amount of players being allowed to leave without replacements being lined up, I know I'm stating the obvious but I'm really hoping for something special to happen in the last two and a half hours for us, however we all know it probably won't, we must have at least one striker lined up.......surely?!0

I don't count either of them as an upgrade on NovakSDAddick said:

We could really out do ourselves this deadline day1

It must be Grigg otherwise Roland is a completely incompetent prick.
Oh hang on12 -
For all you Roland doubters - hard proof that Roland has reinvested a healthy portion of the Lookman money... ffsChef_addick said:No one really thought we would get someone in today did they!!
I know on paper it looks like we have had a good window, but I think we have probably made more money than we have spent!!
Clarke, approx 100k
Marshall, free
Reeves, free
Fosu, small fee
Amos, can't see the loan fee being too high
Ceballos, Watt, Tex were all undisclosed I think?
Surely we would have got more than our outgoings for those 3?1 -

Some bloke called Sean Ritchie on Twitter reckons Grigg has passed a medical with us:
EDIT: he has a fake profile pic, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt.5 -

Has the club shop got any mannequins it could spare to put on the subs bench on Saturday (or even on the pitch).2

Don't panic everyone , get ready for the big reveal0

We will not sign anyone . You all seen how we've been run over the last 3 years. Don't expect anything more now5

I think you will find the Lookman money will have been used to pay the wage bill.Rufus is a dogs name said:

Can people at least wait until the end of the window before throwing toys out the pram and giving abuse?3

We all knew someone would be sold.
But we thought it would be Konsa or Kashi.
Then from out of the blue it's Novak.
Thank fuck we've got Ajose, Vetokele and Watt as back up.4 -
Wheres the fun in that?balham red said:Can people at least wait until the end of the window before throwing toys out the pram and giving abuse?

So to sum up. Novak has now gone to Scunthorpe. Watt has been flogged off to some Belgium no-hopers, whilst Vetokele also continues to ply his trade in Belgium. Ajose is on loan at Bury, Hanlan at Colchester and Umerah at Wycombe.
So that leaves us with Magennis and the young kid, Hackett-Fairchild to play up front.
Oh, and Magennis is unavailable on Saturday.
I sincerely hope there is a surprise in store for us later on tonight.11
