Why is Ladies patronising?0

The women who play in the women's first team, women's reserve team and the women's Development Team, play in the FA Women's Premier League, the FA Women's Cup, the FA Women's Premier League Cup, the FA Women's Premier League Reserve Southern Division and the FA Women's Premier League Reserve Cup. Some have gone on to represent England in the England women's national team.
Why, therefore, should they change thir name to "Ladies"?

The word "ladies" in and of itself isn't necessarily patronising. But for blokes to decide that Ladies "sounds better" and suggesting it should be imposed is the essence of patronising. It's their football club; so it's not for blokes to tell them what to do with their name.MrOneLung said:Why is Ladies patronising?
But it's good that the women's team is able to generate interest. Particularly today, when one of Charlton WFC's big rivals has become the first football club in the world to equalise pay between its men's and women's teams.2 -
Yes Lewes, of course CAFC and Charlton Women are two separately owned entities.
They really need some help as does the woman's game in general, so even if you can't sponsor or anything, when the fixtures are out try and pop to a game (home us usually a Sunday 2pm at Thamesmead), there's a bar and great chips (more than 14
). The standard is very good & often a win is achieved!! 1 -

Full player sponsorship is £250, 2x tickets, signed shirt end of season, sponsorship advertised on Twitter, women's website, CAFC website, meet the team etc etc
Can probably do smaller package for less or Can do a group buy on CL!1 -

The winner of the Premier Division South have a play-off against the winner of the Premier Division North. The winner of that gets promoted to the Super League.
Last season Tottenham beat Blackburn 3-0 at The Valley to gain promotion.

It is being looked at, you need quite serious funds (for womens football) to go for the top division once it becomes fully professional - if you know anyone with a spare £500k per annum send them my way........0
