    Dmitrovic is one of the bigger losses. I saw him here playing for Serbia u21 and he was their star ( my Serb mate confirmed). Now, thanks to @simonmatthews in VOTV I learn that he has left Alcorcon for La Liga 1 side Eidar.

    Which then raises another question. He was season long loan to Alcorcon, I think, but then we made it a permanent. Did Alcorcon get a fee for him?

    I think he got tarred with the "he's network, therefore he's rubbish" brush, especially after Thuram! I imagine Alcoron got a fee as he was under contract, and was their first choice keeper

    Yep. I think he will be Serbia's No 1 keeper in a few years. Which is a whole lot more than Sasa managed, much as he is dear to my heart.

    Yeah I was a bit surprised at the stock he got despite being a part of the really good Serbian youth teams. I think I only saw him once but I thought he looked decent. He's still only like 23-24 and has his best years ahead of him, might of saved ourselves a lot of trouble if we'd kept him.

    SD Eibar have the smallest ground in La Liga (capacity 7000) and are in a small town in the basque area: population less than 30,000. (Faversham size!). So a perspective is needed about how 'big' a side they are.

    Still, he's playing against Barcelona and Real Madrid and we're.......not.

    I always though we should have kept either him or Etheridge.

    I heard Ben Roberts, and SCP, always rated Pope very highly right from the start. Quite rightly too.
    They may have rated his potential when he came, but Roberts (not Powell) preferred Etheridge and Dmitrovic.

    Pope only asserted himself as number one when Turner arrived.

    When he stopped throwing the ball in his own net. I'm pleased to see him do well but he he we largely pony for us, up until the last few games

    SD Eibar paid E1m (which equates to about £1m now) for Dmitrovic. Good business for the network.......

    Dmitrovic lining up for Eibar against Barcelona at Camp Nou tonight. Bet he's gutted he didn't make the breakthrough at Charlton.

    Pretty sure he was a Ben Roberts signing in the first place.
    You get all sorts of rumours though. I heard from a source inside the club that Ben Roberts was disappointed with Popes development, let's not forget he let quite a few soft goals in, who knows the truth.

    In the end Burnley came in and to one and alls amazement offered nearly £1 million and Pope increased his salary threefold to £12,000, not bad business all round.
