Would like to see how Sarr or Konsa do Coming in as they're both better on the ball than Pearce, but Pearce is fantastic in the air and at reading the game, he also offers something more that I just can't explain.

Could that something you can't explain be that edge he plays with to his game? Always looks as though he could concede a penalty or a free kick but usually doesn't. Not because he's a bad player but because he's a player who plays on the edge and nine times out of ten wins his physical battle.

    Has Johnson kidnapped Harry Lennon?

Will miss "up to" 10 weeks......that just doesn't make sense?
Surely Bacon means "could" miss up to 10 weeks.....who knows, he might only be out for a couple of weeks or so.....anyway, let's hope so.
with out medical team I don't expect to see him back before xmas....just in time to rescue us from another relegation campaign
  • Marshall seems to have recovered from his knee injury faster than expected, I wasn't expecting him to be back by the end of September, hopefully Pearce can come back quickly too

Really bad news. His presence and leadership has also helped Patrick Bauer recover his form this season and it's a shame to break up that partnership. I hope that Pearce's absence doesn't lead to a drop off in the BFG's form. Should it do so, then KR may have to give Naby Sarr a go on the left of Konsa.
  • Big disappointment. He missed a large part of last season too. Is he fragile or have we just been unlucky with him?

He will be a big loss because he seems to be the only leader on the pitch but there is something wrong with the defence based on the number of goals we’ve been conceding.

We do have some cover at the back but it does have to be said that we have released what was probably our best center half in the summer and now we are going to have to rely on a player that has virtually no playing time at this level.

Frankly with the last four results we are, realistically, aiming for the playoffs, at best, so I’m not sure that we need to win anywhere near as many games, this season, as we might have done if we were, genuine, top two contenders.

On that basis we just need to keep in tough with the top six until Christmas then have a decent run in January and/or February and/or March.

Still feels like another kick in the teeth though.
  • Time to bring back big rog
  • Pearce out till Christmas.

    You joke.
  • If Lennon is ever going to be fit then we are covered if not then we are going to need another centre half and it will have to be an out of contract player.

Unless, of course, we are going to apply the same rule to defense as we apply to the strikers, in which case we only need two and a nobody that has never played any league football.

We have 2 that are good enough cover.

Konsa will be fine, in reality we need the BFG to earn back that title.

he missed a big chunk of last season as well .. one of these times we'll sign a major player who is not as fragile as Meissen china .. Konsa as his replacement is NOT the answer

Naby has Champions League experience. We'll be fine.

    Season over guys.

Our season was dealt a major blow by not signing a striker. If Big Mag gets crocked we could be in a spot of bother.

    According to BBC

Pearce, who is under contract at the Valley until 2020, suffered the injury in training on Monday.

I could have sworn he was injured during the Bury game
