Think it was called "all or nothing" . Was about Sarf London families. Tim Spall(the main character) plays a mini cab driver. There are no doubt many people whose lives are a total grind , poverty and hardship, but cant say there was anyone in this film who wsnt damaged in some way. Defo not a "feel good" film. finished at 1.30 am and was one of those films that you think"why did i wach it" although the acting of all in it was first class. Last frame was looking out of a hospital window which had to be the old Greenwich +General as the Greenwich power station as in the frame.

Watch Nil By Mouth, Ray Winstone, south london life, very gritty, some of it filmed on the Ferrier
  • This film always provokes discussions, I'm sure Mike Leigh would be pleased.

    [cite]Posted By: Fishnets[/cite]Kathy Burke...very under-rated actress imo..

She's excellent in it, and Mo from Eastenders, I know so many families like that.

I saw that All or Nothing was on, but couldn't stay up a minute longer to watch it. laughed when Smithy from Gavin and Stacey popped up laying on the sofa

did Mike Leigh do Secrets and Lies?

We watched Happy go lucky last week - another MIke Leigh film - Awesome film.
  • Was Happy go lucky lighter than his usual offerings? worth seeing?
