Doncaster council asked for ideas to name their 2 new gritters ahead of the winter.
Gritty McGritFace and Gary Gritter were banned before the suggestions could begin!
The final four were then voted for on twitter:
David Plowie beat Basil Salty, while Spready Mercury lost out to Gritsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Anti-slip Machiney.
The two winners join their other vehicles including Brad Grit, Gritney Spears and Usain Salt
But could Lifers have come up with any better?
