    Bye Ahmed, thanks for everything
  • Season is quickly going off the rails.
  • Typical. We've no midweek games until Christmas, but then the fixture list steps up

    Good for Aribo,

As a conspiracy theorist I choose to read that as saving them from actually getting injured before January.

This will be our undoing this season I fear we cannot sustain the level of injuries that keep being thrown at ourselves.

Time for Aribo, Konsa or Dijksteel to shine.

In the last few games Kashi has not been at his best. Aribo, Dijksteel and Konsa would all do a decent job. With Pearce and Lennon back Bauer's position is covered.

Foot injury as well. If it's Kashi's achilles then we can just rule him out forever. Adds a holding midfielder to the shopping list in January on top of the other areas, so let's pray for that moneybags takeover that we're all dreaming of

shame as a busy month with a lot of fixtures and easy to slide away.

    the fixtures over the next month are;

    position in table in brackets

    pompey h (8th)
    blackburn a (4th)
    blackpool h (12th)
    southend a (9th)
    wigan a (1st)
    gillingham h (21st)
    oldham h (18th)

out of them to stay in contention for play offs we need 12-15 out of the 21 on offer imo

Gutted. I think both have a level of quality and composure not quite matched in the squad.

Means this will be a big month for Dijksteel, Aribo, Sarr, and Konsa. All are very good, but all will need to be focused and consistent.

It says in the article it is not his Achilles.
  • Wonder when Ahmed leaves for Dubai then...

    31st Jan just after recovering.
  • This is why most clubs have a squad larger than 11 players.....

Aribo can do a decent job & hopefully Pearce will be back in full action in a week or so neither will be missed too much.
  • Weather getting a bit cold for Kashi again? Better take that passport off him before he books a trip to Dubai.

Bauer we have reasonable cover for, agreed but anyone who thinks Kashi won't be a huge miss has not watched any of our games this season.

Aribo is not a like for like replacement at all. Best hope we have is that Anferee can step up but he hasn't played a single first team game in centre midfield, to my knowledge at least, so it is asking a huge amount of him going into the Christmas fixture congestion.

We've been incredibly lucky so far this season that none of Mag, JFC or Kashi have got injured because we have had patchy cover at best for all three of them, looks like that luck has finally run out but it was always going to at somepoint.

But fucking harsh on him man, he's played all but maybe 60 minutes in the league this season and has always looked up for the challenge even if he hasn't been perfect.

Also, regarding his Achilles injury, the club have previous for completely mismanaging long term injuries. They have previous for mismanaging Achilles injuries specifically.

    T'was a joke.
  • Kashi will be missed, but in recent weeks he has looked tired, maybe a rest will do him good and he will return as the player who started the season.
  • Could be a big chance for RCC

Win the first 6 lose the last two.

    Oops 5 i meant
  • KR has previously said that an extra midfielder was one of his priorities for January. This highlights why!

Should fit in well for us, saw him play for woking last month... Loads of square and backward passing.... Then let loose up front and scored a cracker... Not sure where the last bit fits in.
