Leeeaburn, Leeeaburn and Oh Aah Mortimer @ Bromley Addicks - 7 December - Free Entry
Free entry although we'll try and sell you a raffle ticket to cover costs.
And they've promised to open the upstairs bar this time.
Q & A starts at 8.00 pm but bar open before then.
Everyone welcome, no membership needed.
To remind you that our new venue is the Petts Wood Royal British Legion Club. It has a large upstairs room, is 2 minutes walk from Petts Wood station (on the Queensway side almost next to Morrison’s) and there is street parking.

Not being a regular of these meetings I cannot compare much to other venues, but I liked this one having been to the Bowyer/Robinson Q&AHenry Irving said:Thursday 7th December 2017 – 25 years of Back to the Valley – The night's guests are the one and only Carl Leaburn (doing his first Q & A for many years) with another Charlton Legend Paul Mortimer.

It's a decent venue, not as good as the Con club in Bromley but better than the Labour club or Beckenham Cricket club.0

Factual correction: Carl Leaburn took part in the pre-Legends match Q&A. And isn't @oohaahmortimer out in Australia at the cricket?
Seriously, have a good time, everyone. Lovely guests.0 -

Won't be as many as for Robinson but should be a solid 60+ there.0

Just wolfing down some fuel ( I'm home alone for a month ) will be there.2

7.35pm Elfsborg already had to borrow a pound for the raffle1

Nights started with some great questions and lots of laughs3

Gutted I couldn't make this but too many nights out this time of year.
Both fellas are proper gentlemen and true Charlton folklore legends7 -
Hope someone asks Morts what he was doing on 20th April 1999....0

Another great evening.
Carl is quite an articulate guy and Morts is Morts.
Great story about Carl's acting career, lots of discussion about young players development and academies, the women's team, and lots more.
Interesting how long the friendship from then have endured and how "unique" they both see Charlton as a club.
I wish Morts was asked by KR to do some one off coaching with the first team.
No more planned meetings until 1 March which should be current players but we might try and squeeze in a prostate cancer fundraiser before then.

An enjoyable evening, in the company of two excellent guests.
No wonder that CAFC flourished with these chaps in the side. Proper Charlton.0 -
Dying to know what you said to get that reaction from Morts :-)Henry Irving said:

Out of interest, is there a lot of work involved in getting guests to these meetings?0 -
Yes, there is and it's made harder when they get hassled on the way out! : - )ElfsborgAddick said:Another enjoyable evening.

We've built up contacts and a good reputation over the years so it is easier than it would be starting from scratch but it is still hard work (he says as the one who does that bit but Bromley Addicks is very much a team effort and it's the big and dedicated committee that make it a success, it's very much not a one man show).
We lost Bernard Wickham (RIP) who knew all the old players and constant changes in contacts at the club don't help but @Tracey is great and make it all much easier.7 -
I saw elsewhere that East Kent Addicks had a dinner with special guests last night.0

Keith Peacock and 'legends' at every table. Players from 50's onwards including ex managers.0
