Stoke drew 0-0 at Anfield. Possession stats: Liverpool 76%, Stoke 24% - that takes some doing.0

Take the draw there.0

Yep, but if we really do have promotion ambitions we should be beating teams in the bottom three and playing 4-5-1 sends the message out that we are trying to avoid defeat rather than win tough away games.0
-
Agreed. keeps us ticking along.
We would have lost to Swansea, Donny & Forest last year - 7 points this season!0 -
i agree with making our sel harder to beat away from home and the 4-5-1 does that, although i think his selection of players is a bit weird. i would of liked to see Gray as the lone striker and Ambrose having a free role behind the striker.0

That's a good point - didn't think of it like that. How well did we do in corresponding games against the newly promoted sides last season?0 -
Drew 2-2 away and lost at home to Colchester.
Did Bristol City get promoted last season? If so we won at their place and drew at the Valley.
Scunthorpe were I think the other promoted side - drew at home and lost away.
So, six points gained, while our opponents collectively took eight off us.0 -
Posted By: ChicagoAddickIs it Notts or Nottm Forest - never known....
Nottm. they get very arsey about Notts.
Notts is Nottinghamshire, the county
Nottm is Nottingham, the town/city or whatever it is
Therefore: Nottm Forest0 -
There weren't many at the match today. From the OS match report:
"......Thornhill replaced Chambers at the interval for Forest with both fans singing loudly as the players emerged to Mull of Kintyre."
LOL !0
