In early hours of what ever day it is, saw a program on TV here about the recent auction of Hurst`s "art". It of course mentioned £100million raised. It then showed on item a huge gold calf(the false God/idol in the Bible) which sold for £5million and a water colour painting he had done of it. On this painting he had written in one corner " do not worship false Gods ----- Damian Hurst" !!!! The guy was even telling em and the still shelled out, now thats clever.

    The whole "britart" movement of the 90's had as much to do with marketing as with artistic content.. or lack of content depending on which artist you look at.

    or even what the SS stands for in WSS hmmmmmmmmmm.
