Richard Murray meeting with CAS Trust

Any early news on this? I am assuming the meeting was taking place around lunchtime so any early news or reports of what has been said?

A few rumours saying he’s called in sick! Hopefully not true

I think I would have heard about that by now, but no such info.

the meeting should be winding up round about now.

the plan is to post a summary up on the Trust site later this evening.

Haha - I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised.

What can Murray say, if sale has not gone through, he will not be able to comment. The most he can say is that interested parties are looking at the club. He will only be able to say what RD tells him to say, no different to KM

I'm sure he won't say anything of note.

Will say there are numerous interested parties but they can't be named.

Will say DD is underway in some cases and has been completed in others.

Will say money can't be spent on the team due to takeover being underway.

Will say there is no time scale for completion of a deal.

The only reason he called a meeting was to stop the protest against him because he doesn't want his reputation to be tarnished further as he is looking for a place on the new board.

For me it has already been tarnished and I will always want him out.

He could say whatever he wanted if he liked, but won't

Hopefully our representatives were suitably fed and watered a varied selection of fancy cakes and tea/coffee by Uncle Tone.

If so, that won't go down well over on the dark side :open_mouth:

So that was Robinson asking Murray if we were getting anyone in?

I presume “an announcement later” means one from the CAST rather than Murray/the club?

    *Dont give them grub,*
    *They don't deserve no grub*
*We don't really want them here,*
*They hate Tony K and they can't behave,*
*We don't really want them here.*

Echoing through the lounges as the CAST members entered The Valley ;)

"Pissup Brewery" also springs to mind.

    Preferred bidder

Either someone crazy enough to front £58m

    Or

Someone crazy enough to agree to pay rent on ground and training pitch

RD's definition of "preferred" could be our definition of a "disaster."

Remember this is the same bloke who selected RD last time we were sold as there were other potential buyers ! Hidden agenda for me just looking after his own interests
