Anyone been to this fairly new micro pub on the Woolwich Road?
The owner, Trevor, seems a top bloke and is Charlton.
Went in today for a couple of very decent beers after work and met a couple of locals, a beer taster for the greenwich meantime brewery (Sarah) and the bar staff were great (also Sarah)
Best for real ale, wine and gin, not a lager pub as have no draft over only bottles. No music.
If that’s your thing, very very good.

Went there on the opening day, as it's near enough opposite my house. Not an ale drinker myself, but has a nice atmosphere and the owner seems a nice bloke0

I think it's Redskin's local.0

Are there vegetarian beers? If so I'll be there.1

Where on Woolwich Rd is it ?0

Met a charlton supporter there a month or two ago after a home game that I hadn’t been to. Hadn’t been a great game, maybe Blackpool.
He was in a charlton shirt and had been, knew the place pretty well.
‘At least you’ve come to a good ale house’0 -
Will check it out. I actually walked past it on Saturday for the first time (I'm not normally round there) and it had caught my eye
An interesting range of ales on, looking at their Facebook page

Had shepherd bitter and some beer from shrewsbury today, I think they change the beers pretty regularly when they are ready with the next casks.
Very good beer.0 -

It’s towards the old Sainsbury’s roundabout end not far from the Japanese restaurant and opposite of Chevining Road.ShootersHillGuru said:Where on Woolwich Rd is it ?

Well there is an "unfined" beer in the picture. Suitable for veggies and vegans.Alwaysneil said:

Didn’t know that and that beer wasn’t on this evening but fairly sure it’s the sort of issue Trevor would be prepared to consider0

Beer from Shrewsbury? Should've waited til we played Shrewsbury! Perhaps do that for each game, a yorkshire bitter when we play yorkshire teams, Special brew when we play Millwall, Shandy when we play Palace etc...Alwaysneil said:Had shepherd bitter and some beer from shrewsbury today, I think they change the beers pretty regularly when they are ready with the next casks.
Very good beer.4 -
Funny how these things go. It was callled Salopian ‘insert beer name’ bitter.
After one pint someone asked for the Fallopian tubes bitter. After two pints it was the just a pint of tubes.4 -
Beat me to it - even if it is one of a number of classic albums by him though.cafc-west said:My favourite Springsteen album - a classic.

I'm sure people were discussing this place on the pub thread a while back1

There is another thread somewhere...but yes, it's also my local, as I also live near enough opposite..see you in there @cafctom ...great beer and great prices too... (and excellent to see Bad Seed Brewery in there...one of my favourite breweries in the UK...)1

Can someone check in on curb_it please, this thread is nearly 24 hours old and its about a pub in Woolwich and yet she has still not posted.
I am concerned she has put her back out somewhere practicing her Milly Rock
.

It is. Puddy - the owner - is an Old Roan and played in the team that won the All England Schoolboys cup for the first time. The first leg was played at The Valley in '69 - I think - and my father took my brother and me to see it.Covered End said:I think it's Redskin's local.
East Greenwich has been crying out for a decent pub, and Puddy's come up trumps. Fantastic beer - what a joy to drink proper stout that doesn't taste like a chocolate milkshake - and an ideal place to spend a quiet afternoon doing the crossword with a pint or a livelier evening with chums working your way through the beer menu.
Christ, I want a pint but It's too late now.2 -

What's the chuff like in there?0

Had a quick pint there after the match, quite impressed. Quite traditional feeling for a new venue0
