They’ve all walked away and decided to buy Wigan instead. Guaranteed Chanpionship football next year and a far lower asking price no doubt.
Just fcuk off Roland you old tosspot!0 -

We'll to be discussing who to buy so we have a chance of winning the next world cup.0 -
I’m boycotting the “bite size takeover thread”. I’ve been loyal to the “Duchelet Sale is imminent” since I was a boy. My father and grandfathers were supporters of this post and my mother sometimes chips in with hows it going. But I’ll tell thee. I’ve been a wild rover for many a year and have contributed to this thread with drivel and tears. And now some wannabe despot wants to circumcise important contributions to the sale of the cloob whether that’s in reason or rhyme because poor old Farquhar can’t be bothered to read the many facets and insights to the takeover because his eyesight is bleeding. Well I say NO. Join the boycott now and say boo hoo to AFKA Bartrams silly little summary for the lesser kind.
PM me on how to send cash to support the boycott and give a little whistle!58 -
400 pages.....in 10 months
And another summary thread.
When will it ever end ! Arrrggghhhh
If it gets to 600 I will..... (Leave it up to you to comment)0 -

You have to be kidding. Now I have two threads to check, just increased my CL work load. First the bite sized one for major updates then back here in case the bite sized one has missed anything (which, invariably it won’t have but I won’t have peace of mind without checking anyway).AFKABartram said:As Macronarty puts so beautifully, those that get wound up wanting to know what's happened and then get annoyed wading through pages of horse jokes, we've set up a little non-banter version for you

So 2 parties in the running, one closer than the other with regards to meeting RD's valuation.
Sale would include The Valley and the Training Ground
No talks of moving the club away from The Valley from the interested parties4 -

“I have to sign a non-disclosure agreement so that means I can’t reveal names or certain other information.
“As far as I know, and I’m not kept in touch blow by blow, we still have two interested parties, I still believe one interested party is far closer to doing a deal because I think they are very close on price with Roland.
“I think the price now is not going to hold up the deal which has got to be good news.”
When asked if he knew how much the bid was Murray explained he did know but wasn’t allowed to say.
On timing Murray said that he still felt February was the most likely month
“As far as timing is concerned, I did say to our staff down at the training ground that I hoped or thought February was the most likely month. As typically happens, once the transfer window is closed we have an interesting situation. Charlton and probably most clubs in this division, lose a substantial amount of money each month, so the onus is on Roland to do a deal as soon as possible but the onus isn’t so much on the buyer because they can’t influence the club too much other than relaunching it. January ending does remove one obvious good point to get involved.”
When asked if Roland Duchatelet would keep the ground and training ground
“I heard this thing that Roland was keeping The Valley and selling the club, no, not that I’m aware.
“To my knowledge this (the sale) would be lock, stock and barrel.
“The training ground for any buyer is quite key as well. They realise that for a club like us the academy is essential and I think Jason (Morgan, chair of the Charlton Athletic Community Trust) is aware that the Trust is very much one of the assets which they (potential buyers) feel is linked to Charlton and can be expanded even further than it has been already.”
When asked if the new owners would consider a move away from The Valley
“From the talks I’ve had it has never once been even mentioned.”
Murray added he would look to ensure fans remain updated during the process.

It's finally done........ been waiting forever...

Pot noodle in a microwave? You lowlife scum! Kettle boiled, poured in and left to soak whilst you play another game of FIFA surely?Callumcafc said:It's finally done........ been waiting forever...

Well, you can decide how much to believe Richard Murray but some interesting statements there.2

I think Murray’s comments must be pretty close to the truth. He’s going to look very foolish if what he’s told the staff, Trust and Fans Forum is too way off the mark.4

Good to hear that the sale is still on track and that the 21st still looks like the most likely date of completion.
The champagne is literally on ice.

I almost hate myself for it, but God help me, I’m slowly beginning to believe....
It’s one of those late in the second half moments when it’s looked hopeless but now suddenly maybe....just maybe....9 -

Probably the first time I’ve even considered the possibility that this may well come to some form of an end.ShootersHillGuru said:I think Murray’s comments must be pretty close to the truth. He’s going to look very foolish if what he’s told the staff, Trust and Fans Forum is too way off the mark.

It’s not about likes and lols - we all know that promotes is the only thing that counts.JamesSeed said:Seeing as we're veering wildly off topic on this thread, I've just realised that I go through the posts on CL 'liking' and 'lolling' all over the shop. Have I got it about right, or should I lol only if I actually do laugh out loud? I tend to lol if I find something amusing.
I use the 'like' button as a sign that I agree with a post, as well as when I think it's informative and/or interesting. Or should I be keeping my 'likes' for something a bit special?
I always feel a bit guilty if I read a post that I agree with and don't give it a like, which is more of a problem if you spray them around all over the shop. People might notice :-(
I've noticed the same names come up on the lols and likes all the time. It's clear that some lifers are way more generous than others. I get the feeling that some don't like or lol at all.

Has the Belgian cockwomble gone yet? is it safe to come out?2

A very good statement, it's looking hopeful. If only we'd had this sort of communication in the last 4 years.12

Don't tell Henry but I've heard they're going to promote my Prediction thread because of it's fabulous and exceptional content.4 -

Alright Richard, so you keep going on about a takeover. We get it, you don’t have to keep going on about it every few days for Christ sake
:-)28 -
If I may be so bold to say so, a promote for that particular thread would be richly deserved.JamesSeed said:
