After the Oscars I was thinking about all the brilliant films that most people don't know are brilliant and even sometimes assume they are crap. I'll start with Speed Racer (2008). If you can name one, what is it?

Not many people I know have heard of it. Brilliant film, and it has Denzel in which is always a bonus.5 -
I really rate Children of Men but no one else seems to have heard of it.12

I know, but when it was released no one cared about it. I had no reason to see it until I watched a review saying it had to be the most underrated film. Then I saw it and wow!stonemuse said:

It was well under rated when it first came out. Nobody went to see it at the cinema and it was considered a failure. It only took off on TV and video afterwards.stonemuse said:
