If you had to name one Charlton icon, who would it be?

North Stand should be named after Curbishley. West after Bartram.

    Bogs after gobshite
Bit harsh. He brought some good players to the club, who may well take us forward.

na, he was a good player but for me in my lifetime...

    Johnny Robinson

he gave it his all every game. he might not have been the most technically gifted player but his passion always made up for it.

KP for me, almost should be a lifetime achievement award given the longevity of his connection with the club.

Derek Ufton for me - legend and my first proper football coach (I was at school with his 2 sons, so that was convenient!)

In the eyes of the wider footballing world it is Alan Curbishley. Get into any conversation with a neutral and he is the name they bring up.

The excellent stadium we have is largely down to the success he brought us.

He was there in our most important time when we moved back to The Valley, and he was there to take the story full circle by winning the most thrilling game in Wembley Stadium history and making us a Premier League force.

If you list the top 50 Charlton players of all time, he managed a lot of them.

My personal favourite Charlton 'character' is Chris Powell, by a long way. But without Curbs, he may have never even played a game for Charlton let alone become a Charlton legend.

Same goes for Mendonca, Kinsella, Kiely, Parker, Robinson, Hunt, Bent, Brown, Rufus - the list goes on.

We had players represent the England team under Alan Curbishley

The fact he doesn't have a stand named after him is baffling. Nobody is likely to repeat that sort of success for us over such a long period in the same way.

    He is Mr Charlton.

I would support having a stand named after Curbs. Maybe something for us to consider when we no longer have to fight for the club itself.
