If Lee Bowyer doesn't get the job until the end of the season, that's a good reason to protest.2

Question: Why go into a place that specialises in steaks, burgers and fries and order a risotto? A bit like going into Prezzo's and ordering fish and chips.1StevieG said:On a personal level it’s been a crap away day. Firstly, there was a reason why I did not like the look of a Frankie and Bennys restaurant prior to my first visit to one outside the stadium. Decided to go continental and ordered the king prawn risotto. When it eventually arrived it was lacking somewhat in the king prawn department so asked the waiter if it was what I ordered. He took one look, said yes and then dashed off before I could say Jack Rabbit Slim. So I delved into the plate of rice and vegetables hunting for anything resembling a prawn and found, as I thought, nothing. Took it back and mentioned that I must have got the vegan option and asked them to slap a prawn or two in. When they came back with the plate I can safely say I could count the prawnage ( not king prawn as advertised I hasten to add ) on one hand. As it was getting close to the kick off I decided to make do with what I had, chowed down and head off to the game. So onto the game, we are 2 nil up and take the chance to use the facilities. Midway through my visit, silence and then a huge cheer. Bollocks, I said to myself as I proceeded to finish and head back to my seat before another goal was missed. So all in all I only saw 3 goals and got ripped off at a dodgy American style diner. Annoyed from Orpington. 7

I'm just writing up my player marks and the first line about him is he's unlucky Fosu and Bauer had such brilliant performances because his brilliant performance will get far less credit than it should.AdTheAddicK said:

Massive lift to the club which is what we needed after KR's appalling reign. Playoffs would be a bonus for me - just happy we've stopped being so shit.2

The loan players? No one else on the pitch out of contract.Swisdom said:Had money on 3-0 and 4-1 but don’t care.
Sounds like a dominant performance and another win on Monday would start waking people up to the fact we might just creep in to the playoffs...and might carry a bit of form into them.
Long way to go but the most important thing is to get this takeover down, give Bowyer the job till the end of the season and finally to start getting some of these players signed up for next year regardless of division2

Possibly because Robinson specialised in steaks, burgers and fries? Look what became of him!addick05 said:

I mean...we beat them 4-1 at The Valley.Henry Irving said:Such an one sided game. Not sure we were that brilliant, just very solid and took the early chances.
Northampton were poor but they were the sort of teams Tarbuck struggled against.
Could have had five or six but we were going for wonder goalsby the end.
"Are you watching Robinson?" Sung as was "just sell the club" and "we want Roland out" which is why we lost.
But I take your point, and there's no way we'd be playing as well as we are if Robinson were still in charge.2

Specialise is being a bit generous? I tried the chips and they were ropey. It was also thirteen quid so should have swerved it!addick05 said:

I wonder if you'll miss Mondays game due to the food poisoning from the prawns you insisted on having.1StevieG said:On a personal level it’s been a crap away day. Not totally clueless. Many of the players we are now raving about were brought in by Robinson. The average standard of his additions is way above those of previous managers since SCP.EveshamAddick said:Robinson- clueless prick. Who knew?
And it was Robinson who brought Bowyer back into the game after five years out, mostly spent fishing in France. Some creative thinking there.
By the way, angling is said to have therapeutic value. Do you think it helped reform Bowyer from being an obnoxious arsehole?11

I have to agree and regret not giving him credit where credit’s due for these really important issues you highlight, in my recent posts I was only criticising tactics and set up - oh, and intransigence for failing to change things when it was quite obvious they needed changing.Aethelstan said:

We have a very good squad, much of it down to Robinson’s recruitment and a good coaching and back room staff.
I sincerely hope KR watches these last two games over and over so he can see what’s needed and how to get the best out of his players - he can obviously see things in the players before he signed them but they were probably playing to a system different to that in KR’s blinkered vision.3

We should have scored 6 or 7 and Northampton were lucky to score nil. Lee Lee Lee Bowyer. Absolutely soaked and freezing cold. But very happy.10
