What ever happens this club owes a huge amount to Richard Murray, if he walks away i hope he gets what he wants. Ifhe stays i hope he gets what he wants. Without him i dont think we would have ever got in the prem, stayed there or have the ground we have. His place in the clubs history should be right up there with Curbs.

RM if your out there and you get a wad let your last act to be waving it under tango mans nose.

Yep, totally agree. No matter what happens in the next few days I'd like to hear some chanting of Richard Murray's name at the Bristol City match.

Well said GH. No Charlton fan who has lived through the last 20 years will forget Richard Murray and the debt we all owe him. There are others as well of course like Alwen, Simmons etc but Richard has done wonders for this club. I hope he continues in some role or other.

21st is all about him, we should give him a send off to show the world who was the real saviour of our club, I love the bloke (in a manly respect way). He does not court the spotlight but built a club through personal tragedy and took us to the glory we only hoped for.

If the press reports are true then he might be staying but the sentiment is true.

Credit to the other directors as well and the staff as well who played their part

And yes Len, Curbs and Kish too : - )

The club cannot have had the incredible turnaround over the last 20 years without a huge number of people who worked tirelessly to make it happen. It was a huge team effort led by some real Captains. When it comes to naming parts of the ground though, I'd settle for the West to be the Richard Murray, the East to be Alan Curbishley and the North to be Peter Varney. That would be a fitting tribute IMHO.
