With Pengfei beating Bingtao and Wakelin beating Maflin Pengfei faces Wakelin in the 3rd qualifing round and we are definetly getting a crucible debutant this year.

Glad I caught up with this thread as I was looking for Bingtao result today & hadn't realised he'd lost. Shame to see him not make the worlds this year. Will be a world champion 1 day.
Some good match ups in the final qualifying round. Hossein Vafaei v Stephen Maguire the match of the round for me. Matthew Stevens v Ken Doherty is decent too. Good to see them still playing at the top level.

Think maguire will win 10-6
For me match of the round of than Doherty v Stevens is Davis v Perry(although Perry has turned into a right little b***h on twittet recently so hope Davis does him.
Adam Duffy is an interesting one as well as he could be the 1st person from Sheffield to qualify for the crucible
Ryan Day v Peter Ebdon Daniel Wells v Liam Highfield Adam Duffy v Xiao Guodong Stuart Carrington v Zhang Anda Graeme Dott v Mike Dunn Michael Holt v Robert Milkins Rory McLeod v Lyu Haotian Matthew Stevens v Ken Doherty Liang Wenbo v Jamie Jones Jack Lisowski v Alan McManus Andrew Higginson v Ricky Walden Mark Davis v Joe Perry Tian Pengfei v Chris Wakelin Alfie Burden v Thepchaiya Un-Nooh Jimmy Robertson v Michael White Hossein Vafaei v Stephen Maguire
Half of them are very tough to call, will be a few final frame deciders i reckon.
Shame to see Bingtao go out, but agree he is still going to be world champ some time soon. Even some of the top 16 would struggle in the qualifiers

Bold call, Vafaei was picking up some results maybe early of season or end of last? But don't think he has done much of late. Maguire has been on reasonable form this season should go through, but Vafaei does have the game to trouble him.
Alot of one sided ones there, and a couple i had the other way lol. Shows hard one to bet on as there are some people who will step up and theres Michael Holt never really had the mental game to get up there, shame as i like watching him just a journeyman now.
I’m nowhere near as knowledgeable as you chaps but looking forward to heading to Sheffield on Friday week as we have tickets for the afternoon and evening sessions
Now following Lisowski’s fortunes with interest after @paulie8290 earlier comments about him
Also see the Coventry fan isn’t allowed to wear his shirts this year!

It is a bit weird this whole thing.
Its not just football shirts either.
If they dont think you are appropriatly dressed they wont allow you in until you have found appropriate clothing
2nd 8 matches have now completed there 1st session as well.
Michael White 5-4 Jimmy Robertson Liam Highfield 5-4 Daniel Wells Stephen Maguire 6-3 Hossein Vafaei Ryan Day 6-3 Peter Ebdon Lyu Haotian 7-2 Rory McLeod Jack Lisowski 7-2 Alan McManus Xiao Guodong 8-1 Adam Duffy Jamie Jones 9-0 Liang Wenbo
Wow, thats unbelievable! i was out last night so just catching up, glad Jack Lisowski is doing well.
Welcome @Swerve i bet you excited to see who you will be seeing? whos your fave?
I have never been to the Crucible, mates have but never really got round to it. Been to a few events like welsh open etc. but never the main one.
We went a couple of years ago and got to see Selby, as well as Mark Williams who was great value, so it would be great to see him play again.
That’s my only experience of live snooker though, really enjoyed it and we said we would go every year after that but struggled for tickets last time, I guess as it was the Crucible anniversary.
Hope my earpiece for the commentary still works :-)
