Who will be the last Charlton fan to hear?

Rang a long long term fan who is away at the Great Rock and Roll Weekend in Great Yarmouth (those of you who know him will know who it is).

Starting chatting to him and realised he had no idea about the proposed takeover. This was at H+ 22 hours

So anyone else who doesn't know? People back packing in Peru, fans on honeymoon, hermits in the Sinai desert.

  • Just got back from NYC (honeymoon) and only just found out.
Hope my shares will be worth something, will go to paying for the week. The wife has tried to kick start the US economy single handed.
Still found a bar that she liked.

Liquor in the front, poker in the rear. ;-0

I was probably close to being the last. Away in Islay off the West Coast of Scotland. Checked on here at about 4.45 yesterday and saw nothing happening. Not been online and little mobile reception, then picked up a text message saying 'have we struck oil?' at about 3pm today. First I knew of anything.

Still trying to work out what I think - v mixed emotions. Def preferable to Americans or Nigerians and Russians, and encouraging to read what MCFC has to say. My main scepticism comes from their involvement in 'real estate development'. Just hope they are equally into football, community and -now- The Addicks.

    Maybe it was me!
I have been in Stuttgart, visiting Large's Head Office, had no idea until I picked up a complementry Daily Mail as I got the plane home this afternoon. As it was that paper, I took it with a pinch of salt.
Interesting times to say the least, I'm sure some plastics will soon be re-appearing!

All big money guys in the Emirates are involved in property developments, and they create some fantastic stuff because you need to stand out in the gulf or everyone will just assume that you are an ordinary millionaire or summat...Just Google Dubai or Abu Dhabi looking for images and have a look.

Bit worrying but at least at the moment Murray has said they want him to stay on in some sort of role.

They wouldn't have looked into buying Liverpool or Newcastle for their land, and I get the feeling they've really looked into what club they should buy. With us being a London club, the community work, only a few years being in the Prem, a decent stadium that can be expanded, decent training facilities and youth academy, we are probably more attractive than other clubs in this league and even the smaller Premier League clubs.

I've seen plenty of images of Dubai, and must admit the whole place and its OTT architecture leaves me completely cold! (Apologies to Maria, Goonerhater and all else on here who choose it for holidays - give me an empty, windswept beach in the West of Scotland any day!)

So what might we expect the future Valley to look like??
