Just a thought, but why did the Board make an announcement before the deal was done? Is it a City regulation or something that requires them to make it public? Very unCharlton. Apologies if this has been raised before.

    A quick search at the top or looking through the takeover thread etc would save this.

    I know people can't read every single thread every single day but for something that is so big in the news - some common sense would suggest it has been discussed in other places. Not a dig at you HPA - just a general observation.
